Euphoria Hits The Road
« on: May 12, 2013, 08:56:40 AM »
So I played my first gig in 15 years last night and it went awesome! I am feeling good today.
I will post some clips taken at the show by a friend of mine but for now I will give you a taste of it with a couple crude vids shot from my wife's IPhone.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjxJrEUBxuI&feature=em-upload_owner - Neon Knights

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9w66lotPhmE - Fool For The City

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzgAekGLZoQ - Freewill

short clips cause my wife couldn't be bothered. She was busy being social.

More at some point hopefully better quality.

Yup. Tick is dead on.  She's not your type.  Move on.   Tick is Obi Wan Kenobi

I only listened to Neon Knights, as that's the only song I know, and it was really good all around!
The band was tight and kept a solid tempo, and your vocals were great. Dio is not an easy one to pull off, but you managed to belt out some pretty high notes in original key without tuning down, and you have the growly rock tone to pull off that kind of song.

My only criticism is that you weren't doing this for the past 15 years!
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Thanks, Blob! It was so different for me last night as opposed to 1998. Back then I was swilling beer and shots all night and last night I was guzzling water and still as buzzed!

Very nice Tick, I enjoyed all 3 - but especially Freewill.  :tup

Also surprised.  I always read your posts with a Hulk Hogan-like voice. (don't know why).

It's funny you mention it in those terms.  I recently picked up a pair of drum sticks to sit in for a few weeks in a band at the place where I'm taking piano lessons.  I hadn't played drums since about 1997, but "just like riding a bike" is a good way to put it.  That's how it felt.
