No Prayer For The Dying - 1 October 1990

Bruce Dickinson - lead vocals
Dave Murray - guitar
Janick Gers - guitar
Steve Harris - bass guitar, backing vocals
Nicko McBrain - drums
(Michael Kenney - keyboards)

In early 1990 guitarist Adrian Smith left the band (who was unhappy with the new direction they took with this album), and was replaced by Janick Gers, former guitarist in Ian Gillan's solo band, and who also helped Bruce Dickinson with his first adventures as a solo artist the same year. This album has a more stripped-down sound than the previous two Maiden albums, with less keyboards and even a new singing style for Bruce who adopted a raspier style on this album and the follow-up Fear Of The Dark.

My first vote goes to Holy Smoke, never liked that one.

Agreed.  Can't we just skip this album?
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

I remember giving this album several spins before giving up...and I don't own it any more.  I'm going to have to sit this one out.

I do think a few songs stand heads above the rest, but the remainder just kinda meld together into one sludgy morass of mediocrity.

And I don't really want to listen to this album again to get a refresher.

It's an okay album IMHO. I'd rank it above both Blaze albums.

Bring Your Daughta... is the only correct answer.

Not the best Maiden album, but still beats reunion albums that aren't Dance of Death.

Daughter.  WORST MAIDEN SONG OF ALL TIME. (Hmm...maybe tied with El Dorado.  :xbones)
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.
