I can't for the life of me imagine how the hell Imago would be voted out before Lilium Cruentus, but apparently the masses have spoken. Imago is definitely a top 5 song for me, while Lilium Cruentus wouldn't even come close.

It's baffling to me that Diffidentia made it into the top 5, but then again this album really does suffer on a song-by-song basis so I shouldn't be that surprised.

No, but I just don't particularly like Lilium Cruentus and think Imago is a far better song.

Lilium Cruentus is an *AMAZING* song.   

For all of the 15 tracks, there are really only 7 songs here.   Three of them are gone, and the only "non-song" left (M/NII) remains.   That's what's baffling to me.

How is Martius / Nauticus II a 'non-song'? I think that one is amazing.

Well, it's really more of a "one part from this song, one part from that song"-kind of song. I mean I like it, but it takes parts from other songs and does less interesting things with it. I voted for it too, I don't think awesome songs like Lilium Cruentus or Diffidentia should go out before a rehash of ideas. (which I still like)

How is Martius / Nauticus II a 'non-song'? I think that one is amazing.

It is good.  But it is NOT a stand-alone track.   It is NOT a song in and of itself.    It's necessary to the story, and a GREAT part of the overall scope of BE, but as Zantera said, it is a re-hash of other things that have happened over the course of the story.   It's a sortof "so, to sum up" track after Iter... 

All the actual "songs" on BE are fantastic (with the exception of DP)

That's actually exactly what I *did* say.   "It is necessary to the story and a GREAT part of the overall scope of BE." were my *exact* words.    It is an important and vital portion of the storytelling of BE.   

But it is not a standalone track.   It is not something you can separate out by itself and call it "a song" in its own right.
