Technical (but mildly humorous IMO) musical question...
« on: March 29, 2013, 05:55:31 PM »
A guitar player is called a guitarist.   A piano player is called a pianist.   A flute player is a flutist...

What is a banjo player???

Banjo players aren't musicians; so they don't count. Obviously.

What is a banjo player???

I always thought they were called "pickers" or "banjo-pickers".  But it appears the technical term is banjoist.

Maybe I'm just having too much fun with this...   I did find out the banjo one on my own, but some of these are just funny words to me.   Like "smock"....smock is a fun word to say...

Now I have to look up the one for "zither"....I wonder if it's "zitherist"....   What an obnoxious word that would be.

Banjoist would have been my first guest, although the word is a bit awkward. But then again, so is playing the banjo at all. :P
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Well, neither are drummers, but they have a name for them.
