Thanks! Oddly enough I realized I never bought the CD of Falling Satellites when it first came out and had only listened to it on Spotify. Back then I remember not caring much about it, but after rediscovering the album I was so wrong! I just had to get the CD.

I got these as well after that previous haul.

Went on a discogs spree today and picked up a bunch of stuff for cheap.

Robert Plant - Fate of Nations
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Yanqui U.X.O.
Explosions In The Sky - How Strange, Innocence
Explosions In The Sky - Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Live Forever

$18! Not bad.

I like a bit of variety in my hauls, though half of that is post-rock  Two of those I'm actually not familiar with, the Robert Plant and the Nick Drake, but I expect good things.

I went over to see my parents yesterday and my mom had thrown out a few of her CDs (many of them were her mom's), so I arrived too late to save some of them, but I told her to give me anything she plans to throw away in the future. So I rescued (and yes, I do like this kind of music ):

Kenny G - Miracles (The Holiday Album)
Kenny G - Wishes (A Holiday Album)
Michael Bublé - Christmas
The Statler Bros. - Best Of

The Godspeed is the least talked about of their 'first phase' albums (it gets overshadowed by F#A#, Slow Riot and Skinny Fists) but I think it's a beautiful album. Almost like chamber music.

I played Yanqui U.X.O. yesterday. It is a beautiful album - GY!BE does not release bad music as far as I'm concerned. That said, I do think I like F#A# and Skinny Fists, at least, more than this, but not by much. I'm glad I bought this.

Just received this haul in the Century Media sale; most of them at $5. Kind of a smorgasbord of stuff that was at various levels of interest for me on my to-listen list, that I couldn't resist grabbing at that price point. Sale is still going on; might grab a few Leprous albums that were recently added to the sale as well.

Caligula's Horse - In Contact
Devin Townsend Project - Transcendence
Fates Warning - Theories of Flight - special edition!
The Flower Kings - Banks of Eden - special edition!
Frost* - Falling Satellites
Kino - Radio Voltaire - special edition!
Oceans of Slumber - Winter
Riverside - Love, Fear and the Time Machine
Sons of Apollo - Psychotic Symphony
Spock's Beard - The Oblivion Particle

Whole thing was $66 with shipping. I also received a free mystery bonus CD, which turned out to be Babymetal—not something that particularly interests me, but hey, it was free.

The Sea Within: s/t

Finally picked this up after some initial trepidation. It's been a very good first listen. Love the change of pace for the livelier An Eye for an Eye for an Eye and Goodbye. Broken Chord has some gorgeous harmonies in the second half.

Raided the Concerto record store in Amsterdam, no Arch Matheos unfortunately but I've got some albums from my roulette and filled some gaps in my collection.

Left to right:

The Ocean latest album
Portishead - Dummy
Persefone - Aathma
Atlantean Kodex - The White Goddess
Swallow the Sun - When Shadow is Forced into the Light
Olafur Arnalds - For Now I Am Winter
No-Man - Schoolyard Ghosts
Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet
Symphony X - Twilight in Olympus
some The Gathering album I found in the second hand section
Yngwie Malmsteen - Rising Force (somehow I didn't have it in my collection)
Alter Bridge - Blackbird
Gov't Mule - Deja Voodoo (don't know what this is, I simply asked the cashier to recommend me an album he likes)
First two Blackfield albums
Within Temptation - The Silent Force (also didn't have it somehow)

Got home from Denver and in my pile of mail was a CD, Babymetal's latest "Metal Galaxy" I got it for free with my ticket to their show, but totally forgot about it since I bought the ticket so long ago, the show was a month ago, and the album was released a week or two ago.... but none the less, I was pretty happy to actually get it.. for free, sort of and surprised since I don't really buy physical CDs anymore.  Anyway, ripped it last night but haven't put it on my phone yet so no listens to have any opinions yet.

just placed an order. 5 of these were digital only (kora winter, seizures, sparrows, state faults, wrvth), rest are CDs
the angelic process was a last-minute decision because i noticed on one of the sites i was ordering from that somehow weighing souls with sand received a remaster & cd rerelease & the other one was like $10 too (i've never seen it that low?) so i just went & snapped them both up 'cause why not

i want to get, as well: midnight odyssey, probably scarlet stories, maybe glass beach, a few others still pending on my list right now too, i need to place a small followup order anyways & i might wait until after the new hypno5e i'm probably not gonna get drops for that 'cause *shrug*

Just won 6 free albums from a friend's giveaway

Artizan - Artizan [EP]
Divinity Compromised - A World Torn
Haken - Aquarius
Divided Multitude - Feed On Your Misery
Queensryche - Promised Land
Jolly - The Audio Guide to Happiness II

Already own Promised Land but have never listened to the others (except Aquarius, which I don't remember a thing about, but I should revisit). Cool!

It's been years since I've heard Aquarius. I don't remember a note of it. I heard it before I joined this place and realized they're mega popular with prog fans. I'm not crazy about Haken but I'll have to play it again when it arrives.
