More similar to... the Shining Force games than FF. I'll give another hint if no one gets it. Okay one more...cause it was never released outside Japan. However, it is the sequel to a game that was released in the US, and it look almost identical in style to said game so...anyone that played said game, should know this one...maybe...I dunno. I suck at picking games for people to choose cause I try to hard to pick obscure games.  :sadpanda:

None of the above. It's late and I forgot to post it anyway, but it's called Royal Stone, a sweet little Game Gear game that is the sequel to another wonderful RPG called Crystal Warriors (wonder what that was inspired by? :P). Um, I guess...since I trumped y'all foolios, I'll let...

OMG Descent. I remember getting my voodoo3 card to play that shit. It was fucking unreal. I also remember watching the trailer for Descent 3 over and over. What a great game.

It's a beat 'em up game.  The picture gives away it's age, the outfit colours of the heroes, and the background scene might have something recognizable.

This game originated in the arcade and was ported to nearly every imaginable system in the late 80's and early 90's.  Seriously, the Lynx, 2600, 7800, GB, NES, Master System, and Game Gear all had ports of it!  The two lead characters were featured on the NES's pack-in game, Super Spike V'Ball.  There were an additional two sequels on the NES and the series was recently revived as a downloadable game for the PS3 and 360.

I guess what I'm saying is, this is nowhere near an obscure title. :lol  It's just an obscure port.

Yup!  You know something's popular when it get's ported backwards a generation.  Tough as nails game, beating it actually caused me and my friend (who were on a long mission to do so) to literally jump up and start screaming and partying. :lol

Yeah the screenshot is total Double Dragon, and I remember that boss fight where the big dude comes out of the wall, but I guess it never occurred to me that a game would/could be ported backwards!
