Faith No More - Angel Dust - 1992

This is a fantastic album really. Its strong all the way through and doesnt have any weakpoints.
This album is truly a metal classic, everything about it is top notch - from the bass work, to the guitar work and to mike patton's vocals.
Anoter thing that I love about this album is that its pretty story-telling, the songs are ordered in such a way it flows like a story.
If you like metal you should love this album :p
I love beautiful things.

If Angel Dust is here, then The Real Thing damn well better be on the list.  Not a knock on Angel Dust, but I prefer The Real Thing 6 days a week.  Bonus points for whoever knows which day Angel Dust wins.

Pink Floyd - Animals - 1977

Well, I assume almost all of you heard this album lol.
I truly love Pink Floyd, and I think this is one of their very best albums.  Pink Floyd are the best band of the 70's for me :3
This album has 3 epic songs: Dogs, Pigs and Sheep, and each one of them is simply stellar. though Sheep is my fav song here :p
Its an absolute classic really, and its statement about society is relevant even today, even after over 30 years.
I love beautiful things.

Also, just checking out some itunes samples for A Winged Victory for the Sullen. It sounds very relaxing! I'll have to take a full listen through soon.

Maudlin Of The Well - Bath - 2001

Far, mysterious, and astral. thats how I would decribe the sound of this album.
Its a truly unique album that combines Metal with Jazz and Alt Rock, with an atmosphere so unique it hooked me upon the very first listen.
Maudlin Of The Well combines soft with heavy, brass with distorted guitars, and the result is simply stunning.
The Blue Ghost is probably my fav song here. its incredible. Toby Driver is the man.
I love beautiful things.

Kayo Dot - Choirs Of The Eye - 2003

After Maudlin Of The Well broke up, Toby Driver made Kayo Dot from the remains of Maudlin.
The approach of Kayo Dot to music is diffrent than the approach of Maudlin, they are much more classical influenced than Maudlin.
This album is absolutely stunning. each one of its 5 tracks is incredible. between this and Bath its hard for me to decide which one is better, but Choirs Of The Eye is more Consistant than Bath, and also have a quite diffrent atmosphere, though they both create absolutely unique atmospheres, though atm I think Choirs Of The Eye is a bit more well done.
Highly recommended to any fans of experimental music (and fans of music in general).

Alice In Chains - Dirt - 1992

Im usually not the biggest fan of grunge, but this album is an exception. Its without a doubt the best grunge album I heard.
One of my fav things about this album is that Alice In Chains have some sense of creating an atmosphere, this album is much more than just "rocking" really.
Layne staley really knows how to sound evil really, I love the way he sings.
This album is awesome, fun, consitently excellent, and I highly recommend it to all of you rockers out there.

Helios - Eingya - 2006

Open, Natural, Blissful. thats how I would describe this combination of ambient with post-rock called Eingya.
Its like staring at the sun with a person you love, like in the album cover. I truly love this album.
Highlights would be Bless This Morning Year, For Years and Years and The Toy Garden, though this album doesnt have any weak songs.
If you are fans of ambient music or post-rock, you should give this thing a listen.
I love beautiful things.

You don't have to like all of AIC, but Would? has to be close to the definitive song of the grunge era, and it just plain kicks ass.
