Did you miss the update by JP? He explained what's goin on pretty clearly!

Oh come on guys, it's JP, what did you expect. In the past few years, he's rarely been the one to come out with details. I am happy he spoke out and said they also expected it to be out a little sooner, meaning that neither them nor OTE are keeping us in the dark for no good reason.

I really hope to God they make a BR + CD edition. Not keen on buying a 5 disc set. Why would I need DVDs if I'm buying the BR?

Most BRs come with the DVD anyway these days and they cost almost nothing to include. Also, I'm sure a lot of people who have a BR player only have it in their home unit and not in their car/pc/laptop/etc so having a DVD version makes a lot of sense.

It'll still be quite a while before BR players are as common as DVD and I also think by that point physical media will be on its last legs anyway.

They repeatedly stated that if nothing goes wrong the album will come out by late summer.

Which may render LALP confusing to n00bs - why aren't the new songs on the the live set?

IMO, they're shooting themselves in the feet if they release the new album first.

At this point there is just no way it will happen. They made very clear that the DVD is well and finished and is being prepared for release, while there is still some work to do on the new album. It wouldn't make any sense.

That has not been my experience. BR + DVD sets don't typically cost much more than BR - only.
