Recommend me some good metal albums for Winter

I'm feeling pretty bored with metal right now, and I can only listen to Blackwater Park so much.

Have you tried Agalloch?
They're pretty much the quintessential Winter band. They've got a lot of Opeth similarities too.

Agalloch. All of their albums would work well, but I'd recommend Ashes Against the Grain and The Mantle especially.

Wintersun. Both releases have a very wintery feel to them.

Wintersun. Both results have a very wintery feel to them.

Thanks guys. I loved the new Wintersun. I like Agalloch, in small doses.

The latest two (and why the heck not, the two ones before them) of Eternal Tears Of Sorrow might fit you well. Insomnium is a pretty wintery band. Amorphis gets a pretty wintery feel nailed down on Tales From A Thousand Lakes. ETC, Finnish bands are the way to go really

Immortal. Their whole gimmick-other than taking the most singular absurd black metal band photos in the history of the genre-is that their music is like the soundtrack to a winter world. I mean this is a band with albums called Blizzard Beasts and At The Heart Of Winter, the theme should be obvious.
The bones of beasts and the bones of kings become dust in the wake of the hymn.
Mighty kingdoms rise, but they all will fall, no more than a breath on the wind.

I always felt The Gathering's Nighttime Birds was a perfect album for the cold winter months--very atmospheric and moody metal that conjures up images of snow, frost, and dark skies

For some reason, A Dramatic Turn of Events is just a Winter album to me. I guess it was just one of the few CDs that didn't get rotated out of my car during that time.

Blackwater Park is a great album, but I imagine that you would eventually get bored of it.
Perhaps you should ask bosk to reverse the "e" and "a" in the second half of your user name.

Agalloch all the way. Any of their albums will do.
I only listen to electro-post dubprog.  You've probably never heard of it.
