3 of the 7 people who have commented on ACOS think it's overrated? :\

I think it goes without saying that the people with contrary opinions are more likely to post in such cases, as opposed to the many of us who see it and think, "Yep, awesome song; totally deserving of that spot." :hat

If you don't care whether a song wouldn't make someone's top 50, then why would you care about anyone's lists and what does make their top 50? Do you just want everyone to agree on everything and move on? ???

Dude, this is Scorpions top 50, and not someone elses. Sure you can disagree with him, but im so tired of seeing "this wouldnt even make my top 50", in ALL the top 50-threads.

Dude, chill. It's always interesting to see diverging opinions, and not everyone agrees on everything, so things like that are bound to crop up. In fact, I think I see more "great song, good to see it mentioned" type of posts than I see those that you are alluding to.

Your post doesn't even make my top 50.

I do expect ACOS to appear, though, and the remaining 3 might be Eve, Trial of Tears and maybe Lines in the Sand.
Ok, I admit that I cheated: I happened to find Scorp's top 10 songs from a certain thread from some time ago. I have posted in that thread as well but I've edited my post so that'll make predicting my top 10 a bit less easy

I wasn't expecting such a turn of events, but the spot is well deserved. Great list Tom, I had a good time following  :tup

A Dramatic Turn of Events, perhaps?
Perhaps you should ask bosk to reverse the "e" and "a" in the second half of your user name.

04 – Lines in the Sand – Falling Into Infinity

This song is probably one of the grooviest that Dream Theater have ever written. The main riff is completely awesome and I love how the calmer verses build up to that awesome chorus, which is only heightened in awesomeness by Doug Pinnick’s backing vocals. After two verses and choruses, we come to the single reason that this song is so revered – Petrucci’s best fucking guitar solo in his whole career. :hefdaddy The rest of the song is awesome as well, I like how it expounds on the main riff again and injects the groovy flavour once again. Awesome song.

It is by FAR Petrucci's best guitar solo. Second would be either Best Of Times or As I Am.
