What are some positive prog songs, albums, artists, etc? Things like A Day Away by Seventh Wonder or The Spirit of Radio by Rush.

Lots of Spock's Beard, more than I can list off the top of my head.

Moon Safari
The Flower Kings

I haven't heard everything by these two bands, but they generally have a very upbeat and positive feel to them.

What DTVT, SomeoneLikeHIm and ColdFireYYZ said - Moon Safari, Spock's Beard, The Flower Kings, and Transatlantic, but I'll throw in almost anything Neal Morse and Roine Stolt have done. They're such a positive force in prog music today, it's uncanny that their high rate and quality of output has produced so much uplifting and positive music, apart AND together (in TA).

And on a Neal Morse tangent, I'd add in Flying Colors as well.

Latter-day Pendragon.  LOL!!!!

Moon Safari, A.C.T (Last Epic for me, don't care much for the rest) and It Bites (positive as in uber-melodic since lyrically not particularly sunny or moody)

To me positive means positive meanings, not just happy songs.

TFK - The Truth Will Set You Free
IQ - The Seventh House
DT - This Is The Life, OAMOT, TSF

Honestly, i know a lot of positive songs that i cant name.

I'll definitely second/third/fourth Flower Kings, and Moon Safari. I've never been a big fan of the latter, but they definitely have a more positive vibe to their music.

Circus Maximus' Nine Album was rather positive. I mean, just listen to Reach Within.
Perhaps you should ask bosk to reverse the "e" and "a" in the second half of your user name.

Yes.  You can't get more positive than a band who literally chose the word "yes" as their band name because of its positive connotations.

Moon Safari is good, but they're too happy for me most days.

Not in terms of lyrical content, but in terms of tone I think Enchant also largely fits the bill.

Agreed, Yes is about as positive as it gets, also check out Kaipa, little more in the hippie-celtic vein, but really good stuff.

Almost forgot to mention Unitopia! The band from Down Under, they're pretty positive in the same vein as their Swedish sound-alikes, TFK and Moon Safari.

I highly recommend them, especially their 2nd (The Garden) and 3rd (Artificial) albums. Their first one is currently out of print, of they're working on re-releasing it this year (I believe).

Great symphonic prog that helped me fill the time-gap between the last two TFK albums (which were 5 years apart).  They filled the void that TFK left after 2008 for me, and rightfully so because their sound is similar yet quite unique, especially their vocalist!

Well, maybe not WS entirely but WHBWH is very positive, especially considering the music itself. They are mostly uplifting.

I'll second The Flower Kings, Transatlantic and Circus Maximus, their last album Nine has some uplifting lyrics. Can't think of any more prog bands with positive vibes because most of my favourite music are very emotional, melancholic and sad if you will, that's just what i prefer. So i'll just add some uplifting songs that gets me pumpin' and in good spirit for the heck of it:

Pagan's Mind - Eyes Of Fire
Allen/Lande - Wish for a Miracle and Come Alive
Nocturnal Rites - The Iron Force
Stratovarius - Eagleheart
Hammerfall - Dreamland
Masterplan - Wounds
Sonata Arctica - The Cage
-and-
Dragonforce - Fallen World (Come on, you know your smilin' for whatever reason)

So a side note is: you can basically put on any Power Metal album, and your fine.  :lol

Check out the band Ritual, which I've repeatedly tried to promote on this forum and failed. Especially their self-titled album from 1995.

I prefer positive music overall, not just prog. Depressive music ain't my thing. Yes and Transatlantic have positive and uplifting music.

Totally agree.

Haven't heard s/t yet, but like The Hemulic Voluntary Band.

I'd like to mention somewhat similarly-named Resistor, a project of Steve Unruh, which reminds me of a more straighforwardly-prog cousin of Mike Keneally.  (In other words, less Zappaesque weirdness and more conventional guitar-oriented prog).
