I got excited until I saw what sogmns you did. No offence.... I may give them a listen to after work.
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I'm just not a big fan of the new stuff. I'll sill probably check them out tonight, but them being newwer songs it's not a top priority to try to get youtube to play while at work. no need to get offended.

Well, yeah. I just watched 'Christian's Inferno' for the hell of it, having never heard the song before. Your playing is good, but I knew this from your mini album you linked in the Musician's subforum, but it not really that exciting to watch, because it's just power chords all the way basically. Again, your playing is good though.
Hey dude slow the fuck down so we can finish together at the same time.

I might do 21st Century Breakdown tomorrow. That's a bit more interesting.

At least I'm not doing everything from a mic !!

The guitar is direct in and the song is mixed on top.

I hate listening to covers where the song and the playing is from one mic.

Yeah, the sound was good, forgot to mention that :) If it's direct-in, then what are you using to get the sound?

My Blackstar 100 watt emulated output into my POD into iMovie :)

Then I just drag the actual song on top afterwards and match it up

" Sex Drugs & Violence " is my favourite song from the trilogy.

Nice playing! Good to see other GD fans here.
My favorite song from that trilogy would either be Lazy Bones or X-Kid. But I like most of the songs on all three albums.
I wouldn't want somebody with 18 kids to mow my damn lawn, based on a longstanding bias I have against crazy fucks.

I just adore the chorus of SD&V. It's just the right tempo and chords and vocal melody etc.

It just all works for me.

Hehe - maybe you can all vote on what song I should do next.

I've already been asked to record " Stop When the Red Lights Flash. " so i'm doing that tomorrow.

Plus I wanna do 21st Century Breakdown for me.

I'd gladly send it if it wasn't a Christmas present. :)
