Gotta say that now it completely makes sense why he is digging a hole during instrumental breaks. He's been going crazy otherwise.  :lol

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bB77QDMC1hc#t=7m16s Always cracks me up. The best part is how JP is totally oblivious to James' antics.
These men, I love them. Can we, like, make 5-metre-tall statues of them or something?

I love how they do the hairflip move in sequence at the end of the unison.  :lol

What have I created???

I'd seen this a long time ago, but given the events that have transpired since, the fact that they were playing THAT SONG, and what James did, is just hilarious.

Also be sure to check his signature stage running with a cloak:

Also, he unbelievably stays out for most of Overture 1928 to dance, and even starts directing the chants of the crowd at some point!

He stayed on stage during the instrumental section of Metropolis?! :o :omg:

His dance during Overture :lol

EDIT: At the Helsinki show in 2007 James' pants reportedly cracked and when he came back on stage during Blind Faith, he was wearing a towel. I can't find the video where he acknowledges this during the verse of the song, but you can see the towel on him in this clip.

wasteland

It's the craziest I have ever seen him go. The only other similar performance recorded was that of the first coming to brasil in September 97 (DVD still available in the bootleg thread).  :)

My God, so did he actually have to wear the towel for the rest of the show? Or did he use one of the longer instrumental sections to go change? That's hilarious.  :lol

Looking at the setlist, Surrounded was the next song and while the quality of this video isn't great, it looks like he has pants on again (that sounds so perverted! :lol)

That part of the sentence was the first part of the last several posts I read and uhm.

Ehehehehe.

Yeah, I was there. He had the towel only in Blind Faith. It was quite weird because he didn't say anything about it, I heard it later from somebody.

But really, that video!! This is the only video I have seen where JLB is on the stage the whole instumental sections, Metropolis and Overture 1928. This is also the only video where James is so full of power and energy, I liked it! Just wondering if he didn't have any place to go during the instrumental sections in that gig or if he only had the best evening ever!  :lol

He didn't say anything? I remember seeing a video where he says something like "I cracked my fucking pants!", but I can't find it on YT anymore. Maybe I'm mistaken then...

On the Six Degrees tour, they had a little percussion area set up on stage where James would go during the instrumental sections to play tambourine or shakers or whatever.
