I heard there are no places to rent in Tuscany, but that was a while ago. Is that still true?

I would say there's of course a chance it is that guy, but having a beard and being in the wine business isn't exactly a dead-on distinguishing feature when you own a castle in Italy, is it?
No, but I think the historian brother who's an expert on Hannibal Lecter narrows it down a lot more, as does owning an estate that was featured in the films.

There aren't that many Tuscan Counts. I'm guessing the number with strong connections to a cannibal curator (any cannibal curator!) don't exactly stretch into the double figures.

This other guy looks young rather eccentric.  He styles himself as "Conte Sebastiano Capponi" and he's the one matte.braso maintains is the count.

Nope, the houses are passed down through generations.  They're booked solid!

Is there any particular alignment of the stars on September 24?
'Cause, for now, also Kings of Leon and Korn are releasing their new albums that day. (Something that will effect for sure DT billboard entry...)

The lower the billboard entry, the better the album.

No.

Their best Billboard entry was BC&SL (their worst album).

ADTOE is a really good album.

Yeah it's very similar (because we are quite similar countries) But isn't there different billboards or something?

That's what's so shocking about DT's later albums placing so high among this other crap.  The fan base is so big now all their albums will go top ten here.

I assume that everyone who believes that less popular = better regards WDADU as Dream Theater's crowning achievement?

The less popular = better argument is ridiculous. It's not even a discussion worth having.

That's nonsense. How do you define "real fan"? If anyone would be a "real fan" it would the people who enjoy everything the band has done, not someone who only enjoys one aspect of the band.

On another note, does that make Moving Pictures Rush's worst album?

Does that make their first album the best?

(no to both of them)

On an even more controversial note:

Does that make black metal the best music in the world?

To me is very simple.

The 90`s was the best DT musical period, and they extended that to SDOIT (their last completely satisfying work -2.001-).

Every album from that date, was a little bit more dissapointing than the previous, with SC as a clear low point and BC&SL as a bottom, thanks to that "balls" theory of Portnoy.

With ADTOE (a very safe album -it was the purpose-) they recovered a lot of musical seriousness.

And now, I have a huge expectation for DT12, basically for the presence of Mangini in the creative process (adding Richard Chycki and Eren Başbuğ).

That's cool, man. You're entitled to your opinion. It's when you say that people who like more recent DT albums aren't "real fans", it bothers me somewhat.

@Lucien: Yeah, they're like prog fans, only worse. I'd remove those links, though. I think officially released material can't be linked to.  Also, I can't judge your username. Mine's "Maniacalmaniac".
