I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I actually do enjoy Raw Dog. There's only one part I don't like is the last 3 minutes or so. The middle section of the song is pretty awesome though.

Honestly, it reminds me of The Ytse Jam, but more heavy and modern-sounding.

It's pretty unremarkable. Not bad, but to me it's nothing more than a song from a video game. I barely count it as a DT song. It's probably something they jammed out over a few nights at sound check. If it was on an actual album, I would definitely understand the hate, but considering its circumstances, its pretty much what I would expect.

It still amazes me that people still think that "Raw Dog" was actually IN the video game. It's not IN the game, or FROM the game. the soundtrack that Roadrunner records put together.

Well, when I see it on a God Of War album thing, not being someone who plays God of War, I can only assume that it's from the game. It's not like they make it obvious that it isn't in the game, quite the opposite in fact.

I don't mind how Raw Dog starts, but it doesn't have lasting potential most of the time for me. I get bored quickly and usually skip it after the first couple of minutes.

God of War's soundtrack consists of the most epic of orchestral music. No rock music.

Raw Dog (War God, come on people) is OK, but I never feel like listening to it. The fast middle section is the best part.
