Very SDOIT.

I hoep it's something along those lines. Please something interesting and not just Hugh Syme's cut and paste "work".

Agreed, especially the bold. Would love it if the music is similar to SDOIT too. :metal

I like it. Very different, but if the album is, then I look forward to hearing it!

Huh. I'm reminded of Sylvan's Posthumous Silence.

Edit: Looking at it now, they're actually not that similar.

The 2nd "A" on the banner-image is wrong, but it looks right on the cover-picture.

The top font is the real one.

The middle one is a cheap knock off. The easiest way to tell is by looking and the M's tail.

The bottom one is what they use for promoting most of the time, and it's all kinds of wrong. The easiest way to tell is the second A and R. Basically, if you were to download a Dream Theater font, and then type it in while only capitalizing the D and first T, you'd get the bottom font. To correct this for the knockoff font, just capitalize the second A and R. But why do that when you can just get the real one from BlobVanDam to which you only have to hit D twice and the whole correct logo shows up.

Also the phrase should be "AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 24".  The ON stands out as fake to me.

Available without the On is very American.  Many/most other parts of the world would say Available On (a date).

Too bad, seems pretty cool.

Damn, I thought it would've made for a nice cover. :(

Hope the album's real cover looks great.

There are a ton of reasons. To sum it up - the Duality is pretty much a toy compared to the E, G, J, and K Series consoles. It's not enough of a console if you want a console, and it's not enough of a controller if you want a controller.

I used to work for a company that installed SSL consoles in studios all around the world. They are powerful machines that require a large rack of multiple power supplies (depending on how many channels the console has), and the Duality just plugs into the wall like a toy. It's definitely beautiful to look at, but it's just way different than SSL's older, REAL consoles.

To me, it's kinda like the Duality = Sterling by Music Man JP, whereas E,G, J, and K series consoles = Music Man JP.

But that's just my opinion, and the opinion of my ex coworkers, and my ex boss, who used to work for SSL in England. I'm sure there are plenty of people who can get by on a Duality. But it's just not what SSL should be making right now. They should be making the real stuff again.

Will all of this have any impact on the mixing of the album and the ultimate sonic output?

I don't know if it's been covered, but do you think we will see some lyrics from Mike or Jordan in the album? I would guess no way, but just wondering if you guys know something or if I missed something in this 122 pages haha.

I would bet no to both, but no official word on it as far as I'm aware. We've basically had confirmation of Myung lyrics and an instrumental though, but I think that's about it as far as lyrics are concerned.

I hope not, but then again I'm one of those people that likes vocalists to write a bands lyrics.

BUT if Mike can write good lyrics then I guess I'm all for it because the rest of the band certainly aren't that good at writing them.

Jordan has said he isn't interested in writing lyrics, because there's no need for it due to the other guys writing lyrics.
