Because of the bad attempt at "HDR".
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

It's for the album booklet, I assume? They wouldn't be working on a music video just yet, would they?

I was thinking more along the lines of:

Scenes from the Pit:  Zydar's Manhattan office

Now that you mention it, they all look like they have some kind of "aura" around them.  It's especially obvious against the black pavement behind them.

Because of the bad attempt at "HDR".

What is "HDR"?

Awwwww.  :-\

Anyone else think we're pretty close to a single anyways?

To be honest, I really don't see the point of a single. It will not get played on the radio. Not to mention, I would rather they not intentionally write a single - ever. Seems a waste of time, a relic from a bygone era, that is still only a viable thing for kiddie pop and atrocious modern dance music.

That said, it would be awesome if they had a hit single.

To be fair, I think when most people talk about them releasing a 'single', they just mean a song from the album being officially released online prior to the release of the album, and not a radio single. Like how On the Backs of Angels was released before ADToE.

Singles aren't just for radio.  They are also to generate interest in the next album.  I sure don't want to wait all the way to Sept. to hear new material.

I don't care if it's played on the radio (though Ozzy's Boneyard and Octane on Sirius XM would almost undoubtedly play it anyways), I just want something to chew on other than facts. Even the smallest snippet of a song would give me something to taste.

And of course, when the album comes out, I'll scarf it down.

Just think how much interest a single would generate if it was included on a CD along with the Live DVD. Just one more reason to buy the DVD. Since the DVD is coming out so late, why not? Even better, make it a video bonus. That might also explain the DVD delay. Hmmm.....

^but from the last OTE update, the dvd appears to be finished, while DT still have studio work to do.  they wouldnt hold off this long just to add the single to the dvd, thats like another month plus manufacturing time...as cool an idea as it is, i really hope not.

It's HDR, High Dynamic Range, from a shitty filter on a smartphone. See https://www.reddit.com/r/shittyHDR for more examples.
