I don't see why DT12 CAN'T have any boogies in it. Maybe a waltz and a tango too. I'm serious.

JP hinting at Metropolis Pt.3 with the  *points at 3 boogies* Metropolis *looks at camera with a silly grin* of boogies

Clearly, then, next album is Metropolis Pt.3  Electric Boogieloo? (Yeah, was reaching there sorry!)

Seriously though, doesn't seem that impossible to me.

I would actually be afraid of a new Metropolis Part, cause there is NO WAY they can reach the level of SFAM or even Metropolis Pt. 1 once again.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I don't understand why compare it to Octavarium specifically, but sure. I'm one of the SC >>>>>> Awake and SDOIT guys, if that puts it in a better perspective.

Actually we didn't know that, although it makes sense. And he is recording the vocs for the fifth solo album at the same time I think?

Yes, I believe he is, even though there is no official confirmation (or I missed/forgot it, which is entirely possible) for that.

So, we know he is. We also know now that the tracking of the vocals is still to begin, if I interpreted his words correctly. Or actually, it had yet to start by the time those videos were filmed, which was...?

Not that I think it will matter too much since JP seemed to be actively producing the vocal tracking on ADTOE guess this way the other guys might be able to provide some input as well.  However, this was the most interesting tidbit after the instrumental/myung lyrics.  Most of the rest of the questions have been a bit meh.

I'm hoping there will be more of, "You should do that part an octave higher." I really missed JLB's high, loud and powerful vocals on ADTOE. Apart from a couple of parts, he stayed mostly in a very comfortable range.
