Then don't watch them.
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Yeah that makes sense.

Why go to a studio to record an album when you can just play it into an iPhone and release that ?

Why make a sci-fi film with the best cameras and CGI by Industrial Light and Magic when you can use a camcorder and Windows Movie Maker ?

iPhones record in HD as standard. I'm pretty sure they all have one.

Answer: The rules on music vary from mission to mission, but typically, we're not supposed to have anything, music or otherwise, that would reduce our capacity to focus on our work. As such, it'll have to wait until I return to America.

You should just tell them you're listening to soundtrack to Sister Act, and you need it to have that extra boost of faith.

No it doesn't.  It makes them look like guys who appreciate the fan base enough to want to get some informal updates to the fans and answer a few fan question.

And frankly, I prefer seeing them sitting there actually reading it out, or answering to the camera. It's definitely better than just some static picture from some old photo shoot or a simple logo over an audio clip.

While I do feel that there's no reason not to include higher defs I don't find it all that important in cases such as this. They're actually sitting down to answer our questions, that's the important part here.

I have not been following DT 12 at all. Can someone give what we know about the album so far?
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. Fucking hell, that's how you fill two pages!!

I'm off to update DT according to DT. Even though nobody uses it. And even though I've not opened the video, yet. But this is my reaction to the first proper, full-blooded fact. "Write it down."

One day, I will be Dream Theater's official librarian.

Howdy Rob.

What's this DT by DT ?
https://dtondt.wordpress.com/

I started to make a compendium of DT quotes, quite a while ago. People rely on a lot of half-remembered truths and misconceptions when arguing on the internet, so I thought it'd be worth collating verifiable bits and bobs, traceable back to the band, so nobody ever has to be wrong again. In theory.

Frankly, it's always going to be a work in progress, I can't foresee a day I'm ever going to be "finished," but if anyone ever sees any cool interview snippets, wing 'em my way.

I feel guiltierer! No, I should probably start a thread for it. Hoarding quotes is quite hard when you're one person, and very easy when you're loads of people. Which I'm not.

I think I should start by rearranging the "What little we know" bit.

These Q&A videos really show how united the band has become. They are acting more like a full unit rather than 1 or 2 of them answering questions, with the other members not present.

The question now is, JLB spoke first, then JMX, who will speak on the next video??? I say Mangini. Then Jordan, then JP.
