ADTOI

:omg:  The new album will be titled "A Dramatic Turn Of Indians" and will feature a 58-minute extended cover of Run To The Hills with a huge instrumental section in seemingly random time sigatures!  :dangerwillrobinson:
Missed that one :blush Saw it after I posted it. I would rather hear them do the trooper with a 75-minute section

Concept albums tend to lend themselves to one or two instrumentals...
Hopefully we won't have to deal with a concept album.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Hopefully we will be given the gift of a concept album
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Hopefully you'll be right unless it's a really really good concept (and I'm sceptical towards this possibility).

If we're going to fawn over Iron Maiden songs, it must be Hallowed Be Thy Name.

Okay, I'll bite.  What's that wacky effect all over the photo?  (in before lens flare)

And who's that with James?

Not sure who is with James, but the photoshop plugin is called fractalis by Redfield.

That's Richard Chycki (sound eingineer I believe).

Yes, I do believe that is him, even though he looks quite a bit older than he did back in his Winter Rose days.

But is he the sound engineer for the whole album now? Cause last time it was only for the vocals, right?

Yes, I'm fairly sure he took over Paul Northfiele role for this record.  :tup

OMG THAT IS SO EXCITING BECAUSE IT'S NOT AS IF EVERY OTHER DREAM THEATER ALBUM HAS ACOUSTIC ON IT TOO!

OMG I hope they have some vocals on this album too!

But they've actually said something specific :lol this begins the flow of actual information. Or at least that's how I see it.

That's not what I'd call specific. You could have safely assumed there was going to be some acoustic on it. It indicates progress, which is great of course, but it doesn't tell us anything new.

Now, if they'd said "Just recorded some banjo tracks for the new album", THEN we'd have something! :metal

Interesting...

Clearly you don't have the original John Myung mix included as a bonus track on Jelly Jam.
