The midi is done!
There are a few things to note before listening to the midi: I transcribed each note based on what I saw within the snippet where they showed a midi grid of one of JR's keyboard sections in one of the new tracks. Since the video doesn't indicate the speed at which the song is played at, the bpm I applied might be completely wrong. This also goes for whether any sustain was used. so, I didn't bother adding any sustain. The biggest thing to note is that nearly the entire upper register of notes in the keyboard grid are missing from the video. So it is clearly going to sound choppy and incomplete at times.
So,...
Here is a 30 second midi file of the keyboard section from one of Dream Theater's new songs! -> https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_N2BKOBrBNLMDFrSDFZQ0VRVjg/edit?usp=sharing

It says I have to ask for permission. May I get a permission?  :)

Why not use a regular site that doesn't have restrictions? I'd happily host the file on my own site for everyone if that's ok (and if I had the file, that is!) :)

Sure thing! I emailed you the file using your hotmail link. You see, I had a feeling the link would eventually break, but I just don't have an account to any file hosting websites. In that regard, feel free to host my midi on your site! I don't want to keep anyone out because I transcribed the notes to midi specifically for the DT fans!  :metal

Great, got the files. :tup

Here's a link to The Fatal Tragedy's midi, which you can either right click + save, or if you click it will probably just play directly in your browser (just so people are prepared for blaring midi :lol )

https://www.blobvandam.com/link/dt12_new_song.mid

I have to say, considering that was nabbed off a screencap, that mostly sounds very awesome, especially towards the end! Nice work. :metal It's going to be very interesting to hear this in the final song, having deciphered it like this first.

Can't say I was expecting that. :lol It was pretty awesome. the tempo the MIDI is set to sounds realistic for DT, but it could be a little slower or faster.

Great job with the MIDI. The second half sounds like something from Fatal Tragedy - certainly has a Scenes vibe to it, but that might simply be because it's piano at the moment.
