These dudes are funky as hell and extremely talented. Absolutely worth checking out, and they perform pretty often in the NYC area.

I listened to a couple songs on Bandcamp and I was hooked so I ordered the CD. Listening to the download now and its great!

I see you are in CT. If you're able, try to get to one of their upcoming shows- always a lot of fun, awesome energy. One of few the things I miss about being in NJ. We even had a tiny DTF meetup at a Blue Food show once!

Okay, the NJ show is all ages if you have a parent/guardian with you, but that's not everyone's thing. I'll let you know if they do schedule anything else for the young'ns

Just saw there's a new one up, 3/29 at Sullivan Hall. It's 18+... any chance your birthday is before then, ColdFire?

Guys, last night's show was AMAZING! The sound at Mexicali was great, and all of our friends kept saying Angel (singer) might have had his best performance yet. Really fucking glad I made it, even though the circumstances sucked (briefly in NJ for a wake). The last band sounded pretty awesome, but we had to leave right after they came on. Hope I can make another sometime this year...

so I'm listening to the first song right now, "Boogiemen". wow, there is definitely some Tower of Power (particularly 90's era) influence in their sound, at least for that song.

I should also note that the first time I typed Boogiemen, I misspelled it as "Boobiemen".

I actually have to buy at least one new copy of the album soon. Last time I was in NJ, Angel gave me a CD to give to Steven Wilson when I see him next and wait outside like a fangirl, and I gave that copy away to this awesome drummer I met. I'm always pimping them to people- I should probably have a stash lying around

Mason, there is actually another Blue Food in NY as well, but they were able to keep the name. I can't say anything about the other band, but you should DEFINITELY check these guys out!

Currently listening to the album in bandcamp. I'm not sure how to feel about it cause it makes me wanna dance but then they break the rhythms in a very proggy way which makes it impossible to dance $:-\$ .
I'll have to listen to this a couple more times to see if I get used to it.
