Mini DAWs and/or VSTs for the iPad?

Got an iPad for Christmas, and did a little googling for some good recording apps for writing tunes on the go, but I just thought I'd ask here; does anybody have first hand experience using any?

As I have the first generation iPad which doesn't have that much power to run heavy apps like DAWs, Apple's Garageband is the only iPad DAW I've tried so far. I guess some newer ones are a lot more advanced than that, but given Garageband's low price and how easy it is to use, you should at least give it a try.
