Well, I have to put there one of them, and I think You Are There is the more "essential" one, you see?

Yeah I guess. I'm not the biggest Mono-fan, but either album works I guess.

Btw, this chart is really organized - the albums are ordered by year and by waves.
The first row is the first wave
2nd row is the second wave
3rd row is the third wave :p

I think Russian Circles is a great choice. And in all, great selection. :) Although Tortoise is a band I could never really get into enjoying. :lol Oh well.

One not so well-known post-rock band is World's End Girlfriend. I guess it's more a combination of modern classical, glitch, and post-rock, but I find the music great.

Always wanted to get into post-rock. I'll have a look at these.

My first albums were () and F#A#Infinity and I think they did a good job of introducing me to the genre. I'm not the biggest fan, but I quite enjoy it from time to time.

I would also add something by Hammock to that list. They're such a unique and amazing band. One of my favorite in the genre.

I'm considering to change the chart and replace  Russian Circles with either Ocean Songs by Dirty Three or The Seer by Swans.
What do you think I should do? (yha, I'm a perfectionist :3)

well seeing as The Seer is really boring and doesn't exemplify a whole lot of post-rock I'd say no

Although I do agree I don't find it very post-rocky, I definitely don't agree with the boring part.

From Monument To Masses - On Little Known Frequencies should be checked out by any fan of post rock. It's a little more busy but it's a truly incredible album.
