Either Live at the Marquee or the Pull Me Under single.
Perhaps you should ask bosk to reverse the "e" and "a" in the second half of your user name.

What's the vinyl next to Awake?

It's the 12" single for Lie.  And then next to that is Live at the Marquee.  Not sure why they were in that order though.

I don't think they are all that rare. At least they didn't used to be.

It was commercially released, but I'm not sure how many copies were pressed. It may have been limited, but you know how that goes.

I'll check to see if I have an extra.

I remember seeing one on eBay not too long ago.  It didn't go for that much either.  This is a really good time to buy things on eBay I think.  I'm guessing because things are a bit hard right now and people are looking for any way to make some quick money.  That being said, people also aren't spending as much on things.  I was able to grab a couple of things lately at half the price I normally see them.

I've seen the Lie vinyl on eBay quite a few times. As the vinyl came with a fanzine poster, type "Dream Theater Poster" into the search you might find one.

That's right. I forgot about that.  It wasn't so much a poster as a really cool fan bio with a lot of information that wasn't available at the time.

As if there aren't enough reasons to appreciate Neil Elliot for running the fanzine in the early days, this is yet another. I think he was behind compiling the information in there.

Unfortunately, I must have sold my extra copy.

Only A Matter of Time, Page 2:

These are the original, hand-written lyrics sheets used by Charlie when he recorded the vocals for When Dream And Day Unite.  One of the coolest things about these is that you can see a couple of dropped or changed lyrics from earlier drafts.  I picked these up directly from Charlie himself when he was selling off a bunch of his stuff.  In addition to the lyrics, he also included a brief one-page note addressed to me, where, for some reason he said that the lyrics to "The Ones Who Help To Set The Sun" are missing.  I have no idea why he said that though, because, as you can see, they actually were included.  Some of you who follow Franz's site may have seen these before, as I scanned them a while ago and sent the pics to him for inclusion on his page, but aside from that I don't think I've ever shared them before, and I know this is the first time anybody has seen the intro note before.

I've seen the OAMOT ( :lol at the working title!) and LF&GA ones at The Mooreatorium already but impressive nonetheless! :hefdaddy :hefdaddy

I wonder where that first part in TKH was supposed to be - in the intro, perhaps?

Cool entry indeed Zep. I'm just surprised a collector as (usually) shrewd as yourself could get tricked into paying full price despite the obvious absence of Ytse Jam's lyrics sheet.

I was worried that these would stop because I had not seen any in a while.  This is a great thread to document DT history.

Nah.  I recently started a masters degree program and I've been swamped with work lately, but I definitely haven't forgotten this thread.  I've still got lots more stuff to post... it's just sporadic because I only really do it whenever I've got some free time.

To me, these early lyrics sheets are one of the most awesome pieces of memorabilia a fan can have.  So cool, especially the handwritten edits.

ITEM #9 - Limelight Dreambill

Cover:

First Page:

Biography:

Setlist and Credits:

Back cover:

Since today is the 20 year anniversary of this show, it seemed like an appropriate thing to add.  To be totally honest, I don't even remember how I got this.  I'm pretty sure it was just a "bonus" item that came with something else that I had bid on, but I don't recall what that original item was.  This Dreambill isn't the easiest thing in the world to find, but I have seen them pop up on eBay from time to time.  Mine isn't in the greatest condition, but it is signed by 4 band members. Not much else to say about this one... just thought it would be perfect for today.

Cool! Were those given to the attendees for free or did one have to buy them? Either way, it must've been exciting to see the names of all those then-unreleased songs in the setlist!
