Wait! I've never heard of this! Is the LA Hall Of Fame to make an official display about DT? When? Why? Of which magnitude? Will the band be alterted/invited? Amazing stuff!  :omg:

It's Long Island, not LA :).  And there's nothing planned yet... I just have been trying to contact them about it and have offered to loan them stuff from my collection.  So far I haven't gotten a response yet...

Yeah, sorry, I know it's Long Island (what kind of a DT fan would I be if I thought they were from Los Angeles? And to say that the national Italian newspaper said they are from Boston!). It's just that I am much more used to writing LA than LI, so it just slipped.

Anyway, I hope they will reply, Zep, your dedication and hard detective work earned you a well deserved display! :)

Actually, Mike... I've been meaning to ask you.  Do you have any contacts at the LIHOF?  Or even just a real person who I can communicate with there?  So far I've only been able to correspond with them through Facebook.

Side-topic - I just listed a duplicate copy of my SFAM Movie Poster on eBay.  I've put it at a pretty low price because there's some visible creasing in the poster, but I figured somebody might still want it because it is a pretty super awesome poster.  Probably my favorite of all the DT posters I have... only reason I'm selling it is because I've got a second one in better condition.  I know it's not perfect, but I thought I'd mention it here anyway in case anybody it interested.

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330856091934

p.s. ~ Next item coming in a day or two.  I've got a few things lined up... just gotta figure out which one to do next.

ITEM #5 - MAJESTY DEMO SONG LYRICS PACKAGE

Cover:

Another Won:

Your Majesty:

A Vision (Page 1) :

A Vision (Page 2) :

Two Far:

Vital Star:

March of the Tyrant:

This is the official lyrics package that came with the original Majesty demo tapes.  I'm not sure how many of these were actually distributed, but they're pretty rare - mine is the only one I've ever seen so far.  It's pretty basic - just a cover page with the band's contact info and lyrics to each of the songs.  It also credits which band member(s) wrote lyrics to each demo song.  I more or less just stumbled across this one... Somebody had listed a copy of the original demo cassette on eBay, and this lyrics package was thrown in as an extra.  I already had a copy of the demo tape, so I won the auction, kept the lyrics package and resold the tape, pretty much making all my money back while still letting me hold onto this gem.  Definitely one of my most treasured finds.

Got this at a Record Faire MANY years ago. Yours is the only other one I've ever seen. (came with the sealed tape too) I think mine came with copies of reviews of the demo.

I guess I'm batting .400 now (2 for 5) on your rarities.

I think Wey has mine now.

Never really liked that poster very much.  I suppose if I were more a fan of the album (and the art) I might feel differently.

It's definately one of the more rare posters out there though. Someone should jump on this.

Awesome.  I had no idea there were any others of these even still floating around.  Nice to know mine isn't the only one though... always makes me feel a little better about authenticity.

I guess this also means I'll have to start digging deeper for even more obscure stuff :).  I have one thing coming up that I'm sure a few others have, but that's still pretty badass.  Then a few others that I'm positive nobody else has...

If I had more wall space I would totally put that one up.  I've probably got a good 20 - 30 DT posters in my closet, but that's really the only one I'm upset about not having space for.

I'm just stoked you guys are giving it the love I wasn't able to give.

My faves are probably the When Dream And Day Unite promo poster, the Awake studio poster (same as the inside of the CD booklet) , the Scenes From New York promo poster, and the Six Degrees promo poster. (Naturally, they all live in the closet)

I'd love to find an Octavarium promo poster and a Score promo poster besides that 11X17 one.

That's my favorite poster.  It is still rolled up in the original tube it came in.  I do need to get it framed and hung though.

When I was still living at my parents' house my entire bedroom was pretty much covered with DT posters.  It was pretty ridiculous.

Old WDADU poster (w/ Charlie), I&W Booklet poster, DTIFC poster and LSFNY Poster -

James LaBrie poster (upper right) -

Super duper ginourmous SFAM poster -

Awake Flag and Transatlantic Poster -

And some others.... (WDADU, I&W, Awake and FII album covers and a couple other random ones) -

Awesome photos!  You even had a Elements of Persuasion poster.  Wow.  I loved seeing the old-school tiny TV, lol.  Watching the Mets, I see!

Just amazing. Keep an eye open, I'm boarding a plane to American just to rob your house  :hat

Also, the maxi-SFAM poster advertises the great Milano show which is being discussed in the other thread  :omg:

I gotta say, Zep's collection is definitely worthy of a small room, a full wall, or even a small wing in the soon-to-be Long Island Music Hall of Fame.  The more stuff he shows us, the more I realize what a remarkable collection he has.  His display could even become a destination for hardcore DT fans that visit the NY area.  His collection is a treasure, and something should come of his years of hard work and $$$ spent gathering it all into one place.
