So I have everyone's submissions. Thanks for being sort of patient with this round. ;)

Results either tonight or tomorrow.
I only listen to electro-post dubprog.  You've probably never heard of it.

ROUND 3 RESULTS

Many thanks for being patient on this one guys. Sorry it took so much time.

Lolzeez: Black Sabbath – N. I. B
Ah, Black Sabbath. I suppose I should have put this band on my banned bands list, as I’m pretty familiar with their stuff. I’m not familiar with this song, however, so I decided to let it slide. This song was fine, but there wasn’t much to say about it. It was repetitive and the vocals in the verse were exactly replicating the guitar part, something I can’t stand. It also didn’t fit the theme very well because, while being a metal song, it wasn’t heavy or brutal. Sorry.
Theme 1/4
Song: 3/6
Total 4/10

PuffyPat: Sepultura – Convicted In Life
Another band I’ve heard of but haven’t checked out. This song was pretty brutal. It definitely had variety, however, it wasn’t just brutalness. I really think that’s what made it a great song and I liked it. The drum intro was incredibly sick.
Theme: 3/4
Song 3.5/6
Total 6.5/10

YtseBitsySpider: Devil Driver - End of the Line
This was straight up death metal, which is something that I like. This song was pretty cool and I liked it. However, it wasn’t very memorable. It was definitely brutal, so you get theme points for that. I liked it, but there isn’t much to say about it. Cool song.
Theme 3.5/4
Song 3/6
Total 6.5/10

Scorpion: Sleep Terror – Prodromal Nocturia
I’ll start off by saying that the blast beats in this song were among the fastest I’ve ever heard. It was awesome. Anyway, this song, while being really good, wasn’t that brutal mostly because it didn’t have vocals, and I really think they make metal songs even more brutal. Parts of it were heavy however, so props for that. I especially enjoyed the jazz part, however far away from the theme it may be. Cool song.
Theme 2/4
Song 5/6
Total 7/10

Elite: Lykathea Aflame – Bringer of Elvenefris Flame
This was no doubt a brutal song, and was pretty good, but the production was crappy. I don’t know if it was Youtube or not, but the snare drum sounds like a timpani drum or maybe he had the snare turned off or whatever, but anyway, it didn’t sound good. I’m not usually not bitchy about production, but here it really got on my nerves and made the song hard to enjoy. Anyway, aside from the production, the song was pretty good. The vocals were totally unintelligible, but that’s ok, it’s the thought that counts. And that made it even more brutal, so that’s pretty cool.
Theme 4/4
Song 3/6
Total 7/10

Nekov: Vintersorg – Jöklen
I really liked this one. It mixed brutal black metal vocals with nice clean singing, but for the most part, it had the brutal vocals, which sounded great. The only con I can see to this song is that for the most part it wasn’t very memorable, just a regular black metal song, a style that I love, but nothing really stands out.
Theme 4/4
Song 4.5/6
Total 8.5/10

Crazyaga: Strapping Young Lad – All Hail the New Flesh
This song is right up there with Heretic’s for most brutal. Not only were the vocals brutal, but the music was incredibly heavy. The lyrics (or what I could hear of them, anyway), were pretty cheesy with lots of profanity, which I didn’t like all that much. Not that it offends me, but it seemed really unnecessary. But I really did like rest of the song. Lyrics were a turn off, but yeah, great song.
Theme 4/4
Song 4/6
Total 8/10

Heretic: Converge – Trespasses
I’ve heard of Converge, and even checked them out briefly, but I haven’t heard this song. In any case, this was 3 minutes of pretty sweet music. It was heavy and brutal, but not so that it was unlistenable. The main riff was the best part and I also liked it when he screamed “burn at both ends.” It also sounded a ton like Kvelertak, and I really love them, that's another reason why I loved this one.
Theme 4/4
Song 6/6
Total 10/10

Most Brutal:
Crazyaga's submission of All Hail the New Flesh by Strapping Young Lad wins this! Congrats!

The standings:
Heretic: 27
Scorpion: 25.5
Nekov: 24.5
Elite: 23
Crazyaga: 19 (+2)=21
PuffyPat 19.5
YtseBitsySpider: 15
Lolzeez: 13.5

Next round will be an Open Round, mostly because I have no idea of a theme.
Deadline is Saturday at 23:59 Eastern states time.

As I said, I don't listen to that kind of metal and I like Vintersorg mostly for their work after their second album which tends more to folk than black metal. I'll send something tomorrow.

Convicted in Life? That is awesome, though for me the most brutal Sep song is Screams Behind the Shadows.

Carry on. I just weren't expecting anyone to send a Green-era Sepultura song.

Glad you kind of liked Lykathea Aflame. I agree on the snare dums sound being weird, but it doesn't bother me at all. I think it's a very conscious decision, considering the whole album sounds like it. tbh; I haven't actually listened to the youtube version I sent you, because I have the album on CD and I love it.

ROUND 4 RESULTS!

Crazyaga: Swans – Helpless Child
This is a song I liked, but hell, it was long. It was really chill and is something I would listen to as background music (which isn’t a bad thing).  There isn’t much to say about this song, because there isn’t much going on. But that's because this song seems like it was written to be relaxing. Pretty good. Only complaint was that there wasn’t enough going on to fill the incredibly long 15 minute piece but I liked it well enough. A note to everyone: remember that the time limit is 10 minutes for songs.
6/10

YtseBitsySpider: Ozric Tentacles – White Rhino Tea
This was a pure prog song, a genre that I used to listen to but find myself steering away from in recent years. This song was pretty cool however and it brought back memories of when I used to exclusively listen to this kind of music. Pretty good song and technically impressive and there were some parts I really liked. Good submission, but I don’t expect to be listening to more prog anytime soon.
7/10

Lolzeez: King Crimson – 21st Century Schizoid Man
More prog. I liked this one more than Ozric Tentacles though. The main riffs were quite cool and I liked the vocals (although vocal distortion isn’t my thing it seemed to fit in this song). The only complains I have were that the ending of the song got on my nerves a bit and the wankyness level of the solo was really high. Definitely better than your previous submissions!
7.5/10

Scorpion: Luna Mortis – Ash
I remember checking out this album a while ago, but I sure didn’t remember until now and I don’t remember the music. This song was really good. I’m impressed with the vocalist; if she’s doing the growls too, than it’s the first female growl I’ve liked. It sounds a bit like her, but I really don’t know. Tell me if you do! Anyway, this was a really good melodeath song. I will definitely check out the rest of this album, as sadly, it is the only one Luna Mortis has made.
8.5/10

Nekov: Mastodon – Aqua Dementia
I’ve heard a ton of good things about mastodon and even checked out The Hunter passively a couple times. This was a great song. The drummer is very good and I liked the vocals although I thought it could use some clean singing here and there to spice it up. Cool riffing and great song. I will probably check out more from this band because I really like what I hear
9/10

Heretic: Twelve Foot Ninja – Deluge
This was a cool song. Had a pretty awesome pseudo-reggae feel at the beginning and quickly progressed into a really awesome heavy chorus. I loved this piece. I usually don’t like this kind of feel (upbeat bluesy pseudoreggae) in music but here it was used really well. The chorus was definitely the high point and a great contrast to the quieter verses. The scream at the end was perfect.
9/10

Elite: The Dear Hunter – Red Hands
I really liked the vocals (although on this song, I might have heard some autotune). This song was really good, not as good as Cauda Venenum, but they hardly sound the same at all. I really liked the part after the “get to work;” it was probably my favorite part of the song. Again, not quite as good as Cauda Venenum, but awesome nonetheless.
9.5/10

PuffyPat: The Dear Hunter – Cauda Venenum
I’ve heard of the Dear Hunter before. Never checked them out. That’s going to change now. This song was just incredible. I loved every second of it. Most of all, however, I really liked the vocalist. This song also had a feel that made me want to dance and that was cool. The handdrums were an awesome addition. Awesome submission!
10/10

Best round yet, guys! Keep it up!

The standings:

Heretic: 36
Nekov: 34.5
Scorpion: 34
Elite: 32.5
PuffyPat 29.5
Crazyaga: 27
YtseBitsySpider: 22
Lolzeez: 21

ROUND 5 THEME: Colors: Send me a song with a color named in the title. GO!

Deadline is Wednesday at 7pm EST. I go back to school this week so it might be hard for me to give you results depending on how much work I get. Send it in on time and I can assure you results friday if not earlier.

I consider Helpless Child to be one of the most amazing songs ever, and I dont find it relexing at all. its unsetting as fuck, with massive intensity. I wouldnt listen to it as a background music.
I also think it worth every second of its 15 minutes. but oh well. opinions are opinions.
