I'll be honest, I only clicked on this thread cos of the title, but I like that one of the, er, adjectives, is "leadership ability." That's pretty much as close as you can get to Hulk-speak in a pseudo-scientific psychometric test. "YES, ROB AM FREQUENTLY LEADERSHIP ABILITY."



This genuinely surprised me. I usually get far-left kind of scores on any sort of social, political, internet self-test kind of thing, often even further left than I'd expect to score, and given that this particular test, as the website admits, comes from some pretty prehistoric gender roles that I neither condone nor particularly identify with, I was fully expecting it to tell me I've got five vaginas I never even knew about. Turns out? Basically just about male!

Anyway. I'm off out, now. Chopping a tree down and then killing some goats - not to eat them, just to prove I can. Must dash.

Seriously though, it seems like there are far more people "in between" than there are either masculine or feminine.  This indicates to me that the criteria being used are based on outdated concepts of what constitutes masculine and feminine.  Doing certain things or feeling a certain way about certain things doesn't make you more masculine or more feminine.  It's just how you are.

Pretty much in the middle, which doesn't surprise me. I can be a tomboy at times and I'm pretty strong-willed (stubborn some might say) and assertive and ambitious, but I'm also ridiculously feminine in other ways (love makeup and beauty and care a lot about others, empathise and always the person to try and help someone out when they're in crisis or struggling emotionally). Basically I'm the person in the jeans and band t shirt with a full face of makeup and perfect manicure :P
