They really, really need to play Dreaming at some point on this tour. I'd love to see footage of that.

Speaking of which, I just watched a Youtube video of this song with the lyrics. According the video, the chorus is "You went beyond." I always thought it was "You wake me up."

...Why not? It's a reunion tour of a highly popular band. What made you think it wouldn't be packed?

Thread needs to be resurrected!

I saw these guys at the MetalTown festival, together with 24.000 other people. It was AMAZING! Highlights:

1. Darons intro/ballad to Cigaro, proclaiming his and others love for his cock.
2. BURN BABY BURN on the intro to Psycho.
3. Bounce - two minute non-stop jumping with 20.000 people is beyond awesome!
4. Lost in Hollywood - didn't expect that one.
5. Holy Mountains - cool!
6. And off course - Chop Suey. Wow! I didn't hear a single word that Serj was singing because of other people singing too. :lol

While I did expect it to be good, they were better than I thought they would be. Daron and Serj are awesome!

EDIT: Also gotta mention I-E-A-I-A-I-O - didn't expect that one either. I love everything about it except for the name. :lol

EDIT2: Video of that song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW4aDd3rmf0

That's what I heard as well, so when Daron started to get the audience going with the chorus, I didn't even recognize the song at first. Felt pretty stupid when I finally did. :lol

Anyone know if they plan to write a new album after the tour?

could you list the unreleased songs for me? I only know the Zelda Song and The Metro.

I figured I'd do the rounds in order of each album release, then add in the unreleased songs round, and then a finals round (with the top 2 songs from each album, and either the top 2 or the top song from the unreleased round).
Also, I'd probably do a consolation round.

that sound alright to you guys?

I used to think The Zelda Song was SOAD, but it's not.

I'll have to dig for my CD of those songs, I actually don't have any SOAD on my computer...I will when I get home tonight.

Off the top of my head (and some song titles have been debatable since I first heard them)

Also, The Metro is a cover.

Friik!!
Honey
Blue
Forever
Temper
Cherry
Dam
Marmalade (best song on this list)

There is more (I think) but I am forgetting.

Orly? didn't know that.

No worries, I'll search the vast, craggy, homophobic landscape of the webz for a full list.

I have them all on my iPod, but there are too many to list. Mainly because well...the majority of unreleased material are b-sides and demos. Plus a live bootleg that's been floating around for quite some time, where they cover Goodbye Blue Sky (sort of).
I felt its length in quite a few places.

I'll probably skip the unreleased songs, considering there are quite a few, and odds are most people (myself included) haven't heard them

Mushroom Cult is a Dog Fashion Disco song which Serj sang on. Often incorrectly attributed to SOAD.

/super nerd
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

How could I forget Storaged?!

Anyway, from that link, the songs I know are

Friik
Honey
Temper
Marmalade
Johnny (another HOW DID I FORGET THAT song)
Blue
Dam
Virginity
Outer Space (I think I know this song, though if I am thinking of the same song, I found it as "Forever")

I actually know some of the others (Patterns is an AMAZING song featuring Serj and Iommi, highly recommend it), but the above ones I listed are the most well known ones. Though I would recommend any fan of SOAD to listen to all the above tracks, the ones in bold are good enough to be put on any of their albums.

well you'll have to get used to the fact that they're odd. they play different, odd music, but it's very catchy and thrilling. They're also  very high energy.

I would recommend staying away from their first album, because it's a bit darker/heavier.

I would suggest starting off listening to their "Toxicity" album.

Yeah, listen to Toxicity and then Steal This Album!

Then Mesmerize and Hypnotize.

Then the self-titled.

The unreleased junk is great too.
