It's not to scale, of course.

I'd like to continue this conversation, but I don't want to further derail the thread. I'd like to keep it on topic. So I'll just say this.

I think it would be hilarious if System pulled a Rage Against the Machine by standing on stage naked in protest. Then we'd get to see all their junk. NOT THAT I WANT TO OR ANYTHING.

One of the first bands that truly got me into metal... I love them and really I can't wait until the fucking hiatus is over.

Anyways, I've got to do the album ranking.

1. Steal this Album
2. System of a Down
3. Toxicity
4. Hypnotize
5. Mezmerize

Hypnotize > Mezmerize.

And, I love Stealing Society, especially the Daron "rapping" part or whatever it is. It's really catchy.

+ I really think their B-sides are incredibly awesome.

Great news. :)
My favorite SOAD-album would be Steal This Album!, after that it gets harder.
5 solid albums.  :heart

You're obviously not. ;D Steal this Album has a wide variety of songs, and they are all fucking great in their way, I think I like that direction of SOAD the most. Even though I love hearing Hypnotize melodies.

It would be killer to do a Steal this Album! survivor, because the album is very consistent.

I used to prefer Mesmerize over Hypnotize, but overall they are kinda even for me.

Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

If you ask me, it was bad upon first reaction due to how different it was. I'd say that it was definitely a grower. I mean, it's still by no means great in my book, but it's solid if nothing else. But to each his own, I suppose.

ALBUM RANKINGS UP IN THIS BITCH:
1. Mezmerize (as of this past year)
2. Steal This Album!
3. Toxicity
4. SOAD
5. Hypnotize

Not a single bad album in their discog though. Each one is fucking awesome regardless. And their demo material is really cool too, if you guys haven't heard much of it before.

Random question: is Daron a druggie? He just doesn't seem right in the head at all. His eccentric personality leads me to believe he's on meth or something, or is that just who he is naturally?

Lonely Day is the worst song System ever wrote, and that includes every song on the debut.

Lonely Day is just an overall terrible song. Also Gadough, your comment about their debut album confuses me. That album is so fucking good.

Their debut is great.

I really hope this info is true, and hope they come by here at least.

Agreed.
It had nothing to do with how much I 'liked' SoaD (they're okay in my book), it was just fucking bad on it's own.

I saw "System of a Down Thread" and thought it said "Devin Townsend" so I clicked on the thread.

I am disappoint.

I probably just saw the "down thread" part and in my head it said "Townsend".

I should probably just stop talking now.
