You're spoiling your top 50 like it's nobody's business :lol well it is nobody's business but your own, so :hat
I should stop :/ Still, couple of surprises coming soon. Especially the top 25.
Wait, so by "especially the top 25" you mean everyone but 26? :lol

This is the most predictable top 50 so far, but I'm still loving it.  ;D Especially because this has to be the list from which I've heard the most albums so far.

No surprises my butt.

26)Morphine-Cure For Pain (1993)

Ever heard of Morphine? You know the songs "Thursday" and "Candy"? Yeah. These guys made those songs. This trio of bass, sax and drums works perfectly. The absolute groove of this album makes it PERFECT to listen to in a long car ride when it's raining. It's also quite difficult to make an album with no black sheep songs. But damnit they succeeded. Also, the order of the songs is amazing. For some reason i really love the transition of the songs. A classic album isn't complete without classic tracks. Candy,Thursday, the title track and Buena are some of the best songs on the album. But my favorite will always be Thursday. It's just that bass line man!

Favorite Song:Thursday

25)Bruford-One Of A Kind (1979)

The only Bill Bruford solo album that i own. And i was expecting something like Yes. But oh hell no. This was something special. Just check out the freaking musicians in this album! Jeff Berlin,Allan Holdsworth and Dave Stewart! Hell yes! Songs like The Sahara Of Snow are also amazing. They sum up what jazz fusion is all about. Being groovy and not turning the whole song into a wankery soup. And they did one hell of a job! I bought this album for so cheap on vinyl that i actually felt sorry for the seller. Cmon man! You should have kept this! Maybe it was an angry girlfriend? I don't know what was going on in that guy's head. Anyways just check this album out if you like Yes and King Crimson and some jazz fusion. Go for it!

Favorite Song:All of the album is good but i really like The Sahara Of Snow

Bruford is something that I've been meaning to check out for a long time.

And nice call on Permanent Waves (my favorite Rush album), SX, Haken, and DSOTM.

Bruford album is great.  So is Feels Good to Me, although a majority of people seem to prefer One of a Kind.

Only one today. Becuase. Sorry.

24)Godspeed You! Black Emperor-Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven (2000)

I don't know what this is. I just like what i hear. 4 epics. All are awesome. This kind of music i listen to when i relax when i come back home from school. It's good and relaxing. Also, the intro to the track "Storm" is awesome. It gets me hyped up every damn time. Not much to tell about this song. Thanks /mu/!  And yeah. This is a quite awful writeup. But music is meant to be heard. Not read. So just close your eyes, sit back and enjoy.

Favorite Song:Storm

23)Mahavishnu-Birds Of Fire (1973)

One of the most polished jazz fusion albums that i know of. I actually like this album more than their debut.  Billy Cobham's drumming is definitely one of the higher points. Tbh this is one of the most fun albums EVER to listen to. I can easily make it to the end without skipping anything. Very consistent imho. The groove is perfect and i just like what i hear. One of my first fusion albums and one of the best from the genre.

22)Jethro Tull-Thick As A Brick (1972)

A legendary epic album. I recently saw it live and now i just like it even more. Ian Anderson is a genius. He's like this insanely badass doctor wizard guy. This album pretty much defines Ian Anderson. Even though I love this album, there's still one album from Jethro Tull that i enjoy more. Yes the one that comes on your mind first. Anyways this album has that feeling that makes you take the album seriously. You appreciate it more than some average album from Jethro Tull. The sound of the album, how epic it is will really leave a huge impact. Highly recommended. Even if it didn't click with you, just try.

Birds of Fire and Thick As A Brick are great choices. I think BOF was my first fusion album too. I'm not sure whether I like The Inner Mounting Flame more but still, great choice.

21)Frank Zappa-We're Only In It For The Money (1968)

This album kicks ass. Crazy, funny, sarcastic and very innovative sounds. All kinds of burps, farts and sound effects. Hilarious. When i first listened to this album,i had a cassette tape of it and was taking a dump. It was epic. Now,this isnt everyone's cup of tea. When you listen to the album start to finish,it really kicks ass. However, this isnt an album where you can just pick your favorite track and listen to that one song. It doesn't work that way. Also, keep in mind. This isn't my favorite Zappa album. Well, that's all i got to say.

Favorite Track: Well,i like the album as a whole but "Hot Poop"" is the greatest song name ever.

20)King Crimson-In The Court Of The Crimson King (1969)

Come on. You know what this is. Pretty much the first "prog rock" album. (I don't think that Sgt. Pepper's is prog) The way these guys mixed rock and jazz was probably mind blowing at the time. Schizoid Man is one of the greatest albums openers of all time. It just grabs you inside the world of prog rock. I bet at the time, hippies listened to this and went apeshit. The second song,I Talk To The Wind is also an underrated gem. I love Lake's vocals here. He's one of my favorite vocalists for sure. The flute fits the song perfectly and gives it that feel. Epitaph has an amazing intro. Mind blowingly good.  Lake's vocals here are perfection. Even though a ton of people like the title track or the album opener, this one has to be my favorite. It's not flashy and for some reason, made me feel smart listening to it. It's that weird feel that good music gives you. Moonchild is also a very cool song. Different but good nonetheless. The title track was one of my first prog songs ever. That creepy atmosphere just makes my day every damn time. Amazing album.

Favorite Song:Epitaph

ITCOTCK is an awesome album. 21st Century Schizoid Man just blows me away every single time.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. 19)Jethro Tull-Aqualung (1971)

Yeah. "The other album" from Jethro Tull. Seriously, this album is a masterpiece in the land of masterpieces. The consistency is just mind blowing. My God has to be my favorite song here. I saw it live last september and it blew me away. Seriously, these guys have some talent. My father always told me to listen to this album when i was 12. I never actually got into Jethro Tull. I actually got really into them this year. Even though I really wanted to have Passion Play on this list,i could not add it. Which is sad cause i LOVE that album to death. Well i'm going off topic. Seriously haven't you all listened to this album? Why are you reading this?

Favorite Song:Ian Anderson My God
