What was he arrested for?
Some kind of massive cocaine bust.

Derek Sherinian probably stands 10 feet away from the urinal, shoots from downtown, and announces loudly that he's making history.

What was he arrested for?

https://blabbermouth.net/news/crimson-glory-guitarist-jon-drennings-arrest-was-part-of-police-investigation-targeting-drug-dealers

According to an article published by The Herald Tribune, “the 23 people are alleged drug dealers, going through mid-level suppliers to bring cocaine to the streets of Manatee and Sarasota counties. They were arrested because they communicated with those suppliers on the phone — phones that were tapped.”

He was part of a drug-dealing ring in Sarasota and arrested in 2014.  I've read from other fans that seemed closer to the band or lived in the Tampa area that the band was rumored to have been funded by drug money for quite some time.

Lyric video for the new single posted to youtube

I have some issues with the production but as I'm sure this was done independently I'll let those slide. Overall I like it though. The new singer isn't a midnight soundalike but I feel like he's captured the spirit well enough. You can hear it in his phrasing.

Hope to hear more from this lineup with hopefully a bit more polish.

New tune sounds promising.  :metal

As for the drug bust drama from 2014, I remember that. Hopefully Jon has got his life together and is focusing on his son. Drugs are bad, man. And shame on folks involved in them.

Not sure how I feel about the new song, but I think the singer is going to kill it live.  He sounds like he can nail the old Midnight tunes.
