I never understood how lots of people seem to dislike the 80s...

...with the hair and the spandex and the pop-metal feel.

You answered your own question there, at least for me.

Oh, you can't just take that out of context. I understand clearly why people dislike the 80s. The question was about that 1987 Whitesnake album everyone seems to love.

Yeah I know, I just wanted to explain why I don't really like 80s metal.

Yeah I know, I just wanted to explain why I don't really like 80s metal.

And yet none of that has anything to do with the actual music.

they didn't even play Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City. That's, like, a crime against humanity.
They played it for us...  :P They weren't opening for Judas Priest, luckily (for me), and played a full set.

We got that song too. I guess we're just specialer. :hat
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

From the ocean comes the notion that the realise lies in rhythm. The rhythm of vision is dancer, and when you dance you´re always on the one. From the looking comes to see, wondrous realise real eyes....

A lot better than I was expecting. Probably wouldn't part with any money for it, but I will say that it's better than the new Aerosmith albm, that's for sure.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Oh yeah, that Dynazty album really caught me unprepared. I'm generally trying to stay away from all the new-generation hair bands, especially the Swedish sleaze ones. But this one really grabbed me! Really solid, hard rock release.
I'm surprised we agree on something!   :P

We're agreeing on lots of things- Tesla, Whitesnake, Dynazty, I even quite like Furyon.  :omg:

80s production, especially the drums, is usually a massive turnoff for me. And every band from the 60s and 70s that I love succumbed to that 80s sound. Blargh.
WHOA, NICE GRAPHICS!

That's great. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one on earth that likes them or even heard of them. Maybe that's cause they're British.  :justjen

Didn't Furyon rise from the ashes of the band Pride? They were ok for a British melodic rock/AOR band.

This cover of Man of Constant Sorrow by Charm City Devils is utterly addictive.

Unfortunately, I didn't really like the whole album. They have a good hard rock vibe, but the songs just don't stick.

Graveyard - never heard of this band, but the song is great. Better ignore the video though, first comment under it sums it up pretty well (Pontiac GTO for rent: 75$, Studio with blue screen and FX (1 day): 250$, Fogger: 50$, Epic Song: Priceless).

Heaven's Basement got a new video out:

And the previously mentioned Graveyard, loving their latest album "Lights Out".
