It really shouldn't since it's the AL Central.

Well, it looks like the Royals will at least be able to compete with pitching.
With the frightening James Shields as their ace.

He's also not worth losing a top prospect.

I'm just glad the Rangers didn't bite on him.  If that's what it took to get James Shields, they can hold out til July when they get the much cheaper version of him, Colby Lewis.

The Royals got fleeced...but at least they'll be competitive next year.

DO YOU WANNA GO BRO?!

jk, i know why he did it. someone's gotta play third. it's just very weird having to accept a guy from the red sox. especially one of the faces of their team. its the biggest rivalry in sports, i hate the red sox, boston fans (and most everywhere else) hate the yankees. its how it goes. it's like if arod went to boston, and all of the sudden their fans would have to not hate him and pretend they didnt wear madonna masks every time he was up at bat.

What in the hell are the Diamondbacks doing?  They just gave up Trevor Bauer, the 2nd best RHP prospect in the game and a projected All Star, for Didi Gregorious who doesn't project nearly as well at SS as Bauer does at RHP.  And they didn't even get Shin-Soo Choo in the deal.  Baffling

And good God what do the Rangers have to do to get Upton.

Concerning Shields: Great innings eater, but that Royals offense won't do anything to help him, and he needs that.

Actually we defeated Texas in the first round of the playoffs this year.

So, some D-Backs exec were saying that the Gregorio guy they got in the trade would be "the next Derek Jeter"... so they traded the best pitching prospect in all of baseball for a guy that will become the worst defensive SS, nice! :lol

Late to the party on Hamilton at 5 for 125, but that's stupid.  The Rangers will be fine without him.

https://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/8746034/blame-writers-vote-bonds-clemens-sosa

I read that and immediately thought: "What a bunch of sanctimonious bullshit!"

This is a sport that had spitballs, scuffballs, pine tar, uppers, greenies, sharpened spikes, cocaine, alcohol all BEFORE steroids, but steroids is crossing the line!

By his rationale, Gaylord Perry shouldn't be in the HoF and he should be blame for using the spitball.

So, it's official?

I just found out Andruw Jones is going to play in Japan, man whatever happened to him? While he was in Atlanta he was one of the best CF in the league and could hit the skin off the ball! The he took the Dodgers contract and fell of a cliff!

Dependent on Dickey signing an extension, much like with Santana years ago.

I'm gonna miss Dickey as a person but man that's a great haul.
