Can't believe he retired from playing the year my dad was born. And he still made regular appearances in the Mets booth up until last year!

Honestly I have no problem with it, especially with someone who is one of the most respected people in the sport. This isn't just the Yankees losing a player, it's baseball losing of the best players of this generation.

Yeah. The Yankees are basically the federal reserve and have a better shot at putting together a champ overnight than any team in any of the four major sports. If the dude who was one of, if not, the biggest reasons that they had one of their greatest stretches of prosperity wants to go out on his terms in a way that harms literally no one, I really can't see how any rational person could criticize him.

No problem with it either. Does it come off as sorta self-centered? Yeah, maybe. But I don't see any Yankee fans complaining about it. Now, if they wish, they'll be able to go see him one last time and remember all the good times.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
