Bill Clinton loves the balloons!

I don't know why these pictures (and video and one gif) have me cracking up so much  :lol

Haha, I noticed that while watching it live.  He had one in each hand and that little smile on his face, and I had about six quips flood through my brain all at once.

As much as I complain in the serious thread about Facebook and politics, the benefit is all the funny stuff that comes up daily.

I'd like a "Caption This" contest for the Bill Clinton photo..
"Giddigy" or "Yeah baby", the latter is only funny if you imagine it in his voice.

Most Muslims in north america don't think that.
Just like how most Catholics in north america treat women and gay people with respect, even though that may go against certain dogma (I am a Catholic, for reference).

For me the cartoon is less about the Muslim aspect and more about the response to the Muslim

Okay.
I live in a province with a significant Muslim population. It's also one of the most left wing provinces in my country. A significant number of Muslims in my province are pro womens rights, and pro gay rights. I guess the cartoon just doesn't make much sense to me.

Once realized that it was a Muslim she was speaking to she immediately doesn't care about his horrific positions and is apologetic and concerned she may have offended him.

Yes, I understand the comic you posted.

My point is based on interacting with actual Muslims in the real world. Most of whom don't believe those thing to begin with, (like how most Catholics don't believe most things Catholics are accused of, and I can say that as a Catholic). Most Muslims I personally know don't discriminate against gay people or women. That's my point.  Most people I know are going to have an issue with anti-gay or anti-women stances, regardless of where they're coming from. They don't fit with your weird vision of the "left".

Edit: People where I live don't wait to make sure Muslims approve of all their social norms before accepting them into society. They don't grill them on values. They just welcome them in as contributing members of society.

I mean, if you Americans don't want these sorts of Muslim folk, we Canadians will gladly take them.

I've read your reasons and my response is that the Muslim world goes beyond the borders of your province. You know, it's so hypocritical, yet typical. If someone had posted an anti-conservative or anti-Trump meme, you'd probably be laughing your ass off. So instead of acting in defense of a group that kills gays, infringes on the rights of women, AND whose penalty for apostasy is usually death, why don't you open your eyes to all the shit going wrong in this world because of extremists from their religion. Not Christians, not Satanists, not Pagans, but Muslims.

This could easily be an anti-Catholic screed for how accurate it is.

I'll say the same thing I said in my last edit. Canada would gladly welcome in all the Muslims the US doesn't want because of silly bigotry.
