That's racist!  :panicattack:

Woah there, I would DEFINITELY not call that racist, at all.

Sexist, antisemitic, misogynistic, and feminist, but definitely not racist.

Way to misread that Bosk.

Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

Kinda funny, till you read the reply and then look at Rumsfeld's face, then it is hilarious.

That's a cute chart that somehow left out the reportedly nearly 13,000 Americans who lost their lives due to the swine flu in 2009-2010.  I guess the swine flu didn't rate as a disaster even though it was considered a pandemic as well...

Bottom line: it is easy to demonstrate how fair and balanced Fox News isn't without having to cherry pick.

Rite?  Anyone who couldn't tell that was some serious cherry-picking to make that chart is in serious need of a brain transplant.

Well, as someone that finds very little in this thread funny (on either side), those are particularly irritating, for continually pushing the trope. It's like making fun of Chinese kids doing math:  one side has their opinion, the other side has theirs, and the actual reality doesn't really matter.

It's sarcasm.  We all know that, right?  And it probably provided a few laughs...it still does to me.

Odd that the very first post in this thread is Colbert mocking the Benghazi coverage.  And though the link no longer goes to the actual video, one can find all of them via 'colbert report benghazi'.

I don't like some of the attacks I've seen here.  But I don't play 'thought police' on those posts.

I had a good laugh at this article. (They had an article on the NYT, but I have to sign up and I'm not doing that)

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/a-babylon-bee-in-their-bonnets

Quote
An article from Harvard’s Nieman Lab, of the Nieman Foundation for Journalism, cautioned in 2019, “Maybe you know that article is satire, but a lot of people can’t tell the difference.” Snopes, which publishes copious “fact checks” of the Babylon Bee’s satirical work, including an article titled “ CNN Purchases Industrial-Sized Washing Machine To Spin News Before Publication,” has gone so far as to promote a junk study “proving” the conservative comedy site poses a public risk. Snopes’s bizarre crusade against the Babylon Bee goes well beyond mere criticism. A “ fact check” last July outright accused the conservative group of intentionally deceiving readers, an allegation that threatened the Babylon Bee’s standing on Facebook and all the web traffic that goes with it. The “fracas” between the Babylon Bee and Snopes, Poynter argued in March 2018, “highlights the notoriously thin line between satire and misinformation.”

I read your post after I posted. Here's a nice quote from that article.

Quote
the news media's warnings about the Babylon Bee come after nearly two decades of reporters and news commentators fawning over the likes of former Comedy Central host and faux newsman Jon Stewart has not been lost on the conservative group’s top brass.

“The hypocrisy is blatant,” said Mann. “When liberal late shows and satire sites fool people, they say it's because the satire is hitting close to home. When our satire is mistaken for real news, they say we're a dangerous threat to democracy that must be silenced.”

I'm gonna be honest, I honestly thought that too for a good while. I was an idiot and didn't realize until recently that the 19 stood for 2019. We were told that this was not the first Coronavirus. So I just assumed this was version 19.

Yes, and the WHO has apparently been keeping all 18 prior covids a deep state secret.

The stupid is strong with this administration.
