Agreed, thats a tough group of flicks.

With Schindler's List and Braveheart taking it in 1994 and 1996 respectively. Jesus, what happened since those days?

Okay, so at least we know chino isn't going to watch any of these. Sorry the pointless bump guys.

I'm sorry that I have less than 3 free hours a day.

I guess this leaves out the extended version of DAS BOOT.

I'm watching the Matrix for the first time. I'm about 45 minutes in. What a cool concept!

I don't trust this bald guy worth a damn. I have a feeling he's gonna throw wrench in the whole thing.

Well that movie was pretty cool. It got a little corny in the last 10 minutes, but I enjoyed it.

Yeah, it's great.

Let it remain so, and avoid the sequels altogether.

I didn't mind the second one, but it wasn't anywhere near as good as the first, and the third one bored me to tears. And if you watch the second, you'd have to watch the third for the conclusion.

I put in another vote for don't bother watching the sequels.

I have to disagree with Bosk.  Sometimes, there ARE movies that you simply cannot live your life without seeing.

Case in point------- Birdemic: Shock and Terror

I don't know, I'm still managing just fine without having seen it. I saw the trailer though, so I figure I've suffered enough to feel like I saw it. :lol

Chino,

I don't know if this is a must see to complete your life but I can't imagine my life would be as full as it currently is without seeing this.

It is best viewed in it's native french language (dubbed english grates on my nerves) but it might be a chore if you don't enjoy reading subtitles. If you speak french or are fine with subtitles, I can't recommend this movie any higher.

The cinematography and the fight scenes alone are worth the price of admission. Throw in brilliant acting, a great story, and grit your teeth suspense and you have one of my favorite movies ever. I watch this movie at least once per year and it never looses it's punch.

The second Matrix movie is worth seeing for the action scenes. They probably don't hold up very well though, I haven't seen it in a good while.

The third one is just boring all around, and took everything that could have been potentially interesting about the plot of the second one and tosses it all in the garbage.

Still worth seeing both of them imo. Even though they're not very good, its interesting enough to see where it goes. I'm not one that believes bad sequels can decrease your enjoyment of the originals. The first Matrix is still one of my favorite action movies even though I almost hated the third.

I haven't seen the second or third Matrix films in years and while I remember not liking them that much, I did read an absolutely brilliant philosophical essay about a year or two ago that analyzed both films in great detail and made a lot more sense than the films themselves did. It was actually a great read, but that doesn't excuse the films themselves either. However the original film is an absolute classic. :tup

I'm just over an hour into Reloaded. I'm liking it so far. Cornel West just made an appearance!

I'm doing a movie marathon with a couple guys from work tonight. One of the items on the list is Pulp Fiction. I've been waiting to see this one for a while.

Pulp Fiction is just excellent from start to finish!
