The title speaks for itself, I'm going to a concert on Halloween, it's not a "Halloween Concert", just a normal part of the band's tour, but I'm wondering if it's normal for fans to dress up regardless, cause I'm gonna be wearing a costume, and I'm just wondering if I'm gonna particularly stand out in the crowd for being the most evil looking thing at a Metal concert.  ;D

Hm.

Well I saw Nightwish a few years back on Halloween. I don't remember anyone in the audience dressing up (though I could be wrong), but their singer was a witch, their keyboardist was a pirate and their bassist played in weird underwear and no pants.

If I were you, I'd go dressed as a nudist.

A little cold for that in my part of the world. Besides, it's not a Gwar concert.
But whatever, I'll dress up. The band is gonna be performing with Freddy Krueger in the front row among all the long haired, black T-Shirt wearing metalheads.

You should wear something distinctly non-metal and bombastic. Any pimp suit with Leopard print accents should do nicely. Since you mentioned you would be on the front row, I would pick a color that stands out against black, like bright purple...
Perhaps you should ask bosk to reverse the "e" and "a" in the second half of your user name.

Umm, but wouldn't Leopard Print be sort of Metal? I mean, Glam and all?

Does this look Glam to you?

Well, no, but did you have to find the one example where the 'pimp' is 10 years old?

That was my Halloween costume a few years ago and it was the only decent picture I had.

I was fourteen by the way.

Sorry, I exaggerated. But when you said leopard print, this is what instantly came to mind:

This thread reminds me of Franken-Dave from last halloween (Dave Mustaine from Megadeth for those who don't know)  :lol

Knock yourself out though... I've never been to a concert on Halloween personally but I'm sure it is pretty common to wear costumes... if not, who cares? It's Halloween.  :tup

Good attitude. Yeah, either way, I definitely wasn't gonna change my mind, I've put a lot of time and money into this costume so far. Custom knit sweater, liquid latex that I'll be using to replicate the burned skin tissue, etc.

Iunno. I still refuse to consider glam to be metal due to the fact it has pretty much no metal elements. :P Hard rock, maybe.

Yeah, I said the same thing a while back. The only thing that differentiates Glam Metal from Hard Rock is that in Glam Metal, the band members dress like women.
Still glam rock or glitter rock, is a completely different thing that existed in the 60's. David Bowie and such.
Besides, Metal is supposed to be a more extreme side of rock, and you can't say those guys didn't go to the extreme. The only issues is that they went to the extreme with their appearance, not their sound.
