When do you usually wake up?
« on: September 29, 2012, 08:40:51 PM »
Also another question - is it your ideal time to wake up? (Or are you happy about waking up when you do?)

I suspect people with jobs wake up around 6ish but I'm curious about everyone else.

I wake up around 9am usually. Ideally I'd be up at 5am, just to get into that active day mindset.

Between 8 and 9 am is generally the time I wake up. It would probably be closer to 10am if I didn't have to wake up earlier for classes.

When I have to be to work at 11 I am usually up round 9-930. When I gotta be in at 430 / weekdays when I am off round 1030-1130. Weekends = whenever I feel like it (today got up at 2pm. Felt so good)
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Depends.  When I wasn't working during the summer, I got up at ten or so; when I was working this summer, about 5:20.  This quarter, my first class is at 10:30 AM (yessss) so I'll get up at 9.

So everything after 12 is lumped together? I honestly cannot remember how many years it has been since I had to wake up before the crack of noon. :lol

On an average day I wake up at 2pm. On an early day, 1pm. On a later day, anywhere up to 5pm.

Assuming I have nothing to do, usually between 6 and 7.

For me earlier is better, always. I absolutely despise sleeping and love waking up early.

For all you early risers, did you train yourself to get there? Or were you always a morning person?

For the present time, I have been waking up between 6 and 8 am, pending on the day. On my days off though, I usually lay back down after an hour or two.

On a school day:  5:50am, since the gym opens at 6:30 and I have all 8 am's, so it works out nice

On a day off: maybe 6:45ish

all my friends are usually going out around the time I'm going to sleep and wake up the next day around noon-1pm. I couldn't never do that though.

I get up at 5 am or shortly thereafter.  I apparently don't get an option in the poll.

In theory, the option that would most factually represent you out of those available would be "after 12pm"; you just happen to be ~17 hours after 12pm.

After 12pm generally. Recently, since I started going to the gym, between 12 and 1pm. And between 11am and 12pm on weekends. Working from home 4tw  ;D

I have gone through periods before where I would sometimes not wake up until after 3 or even 4pm. But then I decided it was a bit ridiculous that I was still awake from the night before when my flatmates got up for work  :lol

When I have classes I wake up around 9 in the morning. When I have nothing important to do I wake up around 10 but sometimes don't rise up until 12 or 13. My sleep patterns are in a systematic chaos.

Usually 6-7 A.M., because of the school. Luckily I have had now three school days beginning in 11.15 A.M. in a week  :metal. In weekends I sleep as much as I want, usually 11-12 A.M.

My body's trained at this point to never sleep pass 7:30. It wasn't a conscious decision. That was just when I had to get up for school, and it's stuck. This morning, for example, I had only slept for about 6 hours, but at 7:30 I was wide awake and not even remotely able to get back to sleep. Granted, there are times when the power of sleep will win, but it only happens when I stay up until like 2 AM and there's no way I'd be able to function on that amount of sleep. It's kind of nice though, because I always feel like I get more accomplished when I'm up that early. It seems like time goes by a bit slower in the mornings, and I can just relax and listen to music without feeling like I'm wasting my day.

Lately I get up at around 7-8 am.  But this depends on work.  I don't have a set start time, so I get a call about 2 hours before I have to report.  Latest I've gone in, 3 pm.  Earliest was 3:30 am.

I like being a morning person.  I never had a job that was a real day shift job until this one, and I grew tired of second and third shift work.  It's nice to see the sun come up after waking up, not before going to bed :lol
