Ben Folds Five- The Sound of the Life of the Mind
« on: September 25, 2012, 09:46:55 AM »
It's a pretty good album, I think! It's more like Ben's solo stuff than Ben Folds Five, but that makes sense, because Ben Folds Five was always the band playing alongside Ben, and it's Ben who's changed as a writer. Still, there's definitely some new energy that I haven't really heard on the last few BF solo efforts.

It's a great listen so far. I got only halfway through the album, but I liked almost everything I heard.

I need to pick this up ASAP.  Saw the single. Liked it.  Funny video.

My copy came in the mail from amazon.com today, along with a ton of other stuff.  It will get its fair share of spins though.  I'm still PO'ed I couldn't make the time to see him in Raleigh 2 weeks ago.

EDIT:  In the middle of my first listen.  I kept waiting for the humor showcase song...and waiting...then "Draw A Crowd" came on  :lol
