I would love to hear Hollow Years w/ improv on ProgNation.  I don't care if they already did it on the ToT tour.

absolutely. I have a feeling they're going to change their sets for the North American dates though...

^^ Yeah, great version, I love how they laughed when they saw it on the big screen. BTW, is there more videos of the gig expect for A Rite of Passage and the other videos that been posted?

That is how Bebot should sound. Over a softer song, Bebot can sound good. I got worried when I heard he was playing Bebot in Solitary Shell, but that fitted perfectly.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Is it a european trait for people to sing along to the instrumental melodies (like there in solitary shell). Don't seem to get it in england, but I vaguelly recall it having been to foreign festivals. Pretty annoying (esp when out of tune) imo.

South American crowds do this.  Kinda puts U.S. ones to shame.

Don't like it when they remake songs (like Solitary Shell in this video). Original is always the best.

But that's part of what makes live shows so special.  Yes they dragged a 5/6 minute song into 9 minutes, but all the added stuff was a great inclusion for the song in a live setting.  If a band just reproduced songs exactly like they were on the album, it kinda ruins the point of being live.  Excitement, crowd participation, and slightly tweaked arrangements/tempos make live concerts and live albums (the middle one DT really needs to work on when mixing live albums).  Putting this version of SS on a DVD would be fantastic.

I just don't like it when they play something that I never heard before, I want to hear something recognisable so I can sing together with James and "play" what John Petrucci plays in my head.

I've seen US crowds do it at Maiden shows during "Fear Of The Dark", but I think they're copying from the live version of FOTD which has been on a couple of albums.

As for the DT setlist - very cool. I'm in the minority who loves BTL so that made me happy, but Erotomania/Voices is even better. I hope they keep that for NA PN09.

I doubt it, just because it was pretty common on the original ProgNation.

I downloaded Bebot for my IPhone this weekend and two things immediately came to mind.

1.  This program is really COOL and fun to play around with.

2.  JR IS the wizard to make the sounds (music) he does with this thing.  His video on YouTube showing the different things the Bebot can do is simply amazing!

Glad to hear he is playing around with it on the PN09 tour.

Kind of surprised they played a lot of songs  that were played on the last leg of last year's tour.  I can only assume its going to be changed up big time when the album is released and they come back to the states.

Overall, I'd say that its still a pretty awesome setlist.  Just not one I'd want to see since they played a lot of those songs last year in NYC.

You have to remember that most of these songs weren't played at all in Europe on the last tour. I'm sure the setlist will change for the US.
This exactly!
