Oh, and Opeth setlist was:

Windowpane
The Lotus Eater
Harlequin Forest
April Ethereal
Deliverance

Hex Omega

:D I was soooo damn happy they did April Ethereal and Harlequin Forest. It also means that they've played Deliverance every time I've seen them.

Shit, London got the good setlist. I never get the good setlist.

Ah well, Manchester was ace anyway. Plus I was busy with Porcupine Tree on the tenth (who were STUPIDLY good). At least we got In the Name of God.

On the other hand I am quite proud of how long this has lasted.

Just back from the Glasgow show ... I think the set list was

1. A Nightmare to Remember
2. A Rite of Passage
3. Hollow Years (extended)
4. Erotomania
5. Voices
6. Solitary Shell
7. Take The Time
-------------------------
8. The Count of Tuscany

Think that was it ... hope I've not missed anything =p. Awesome set list :D

EDIT: Oh, there was a keyboard solo in there somewhere ... I think it was either just before or just after Hollow Years

My favourite part was with the Bigelf drummer, they really got the groove going.

Well, Wembley rocked, for sure, but IMO Manchester just pipped the set-list with Sacrificed Sons, TSCO and ITNOG. That drum solo shambles was an affront to humanity - I know there are loads of people who love drum solos, but then there are loads of people who love Ronan Keating - it doesn't make them right.

Porcupine Tree were great at Hammersmith, but there was no atmosphere towards the back of the stalls - I don't like all-seater venues for rock shows. As a result DT just edged it.

^^ Yep, Manchester got a really good set list. I see that the next show is the 17th, looks like they get some time to get home and recover, thats nice for them, they have really played many shows in a row now, almost a month.

Dream Theater in Glasgow were simply awesome. James' vocals are the best I've heard for awhile. Only complaint I have was we got Hollow Years. That's their only song that I just can't get into. The Count Of Tuscany to finish. What a performance. Hope they are back again real soon. An evening with would be good but I can't see it happening.

Opeth were ok, saw better shows from them. I was impressed with Bigelf. Unexpect, well they just reminded me of Cradle Of Filth.

Hurry back DT  :metal

Opeth kicked ass in Glasgow.  I kinda ditched DT after the first song because I went to meet Opeth at their bus.  A guy I was with used to get guitar lessons from Frederik so he phoned ahead.  Was an awesome experience.  We just chatted and smoked :hat

What is this song some other B-Side from FOABP that has not been even released on the Nil Recurring or is it Anesthetize part 2?

I think, besides Trains, that was my favorite part of my PT show. The crowd was just SO into it. LOVE Anesthetize.

Ha! I was hoping for Bonnie the Cat cause it was my favourite from disc 2, but seeing Remember Me Lover live has REALLY helped it click, so I'm pretty happy I got that instead. Amazing song. In fact the whole album makes a lot more sense now, I didn't "get" disc 1 at all pre-gig but now I love love LOVE it and it's a top three PT album. Russia On Ice would have been nice though - just for that heavy last section!

Really nice venue too. Insanely posh, I felt a bit out of place.

I guess Manchester was a pretty good setlist... but I mean, aside from the staples, Manchester got...

A Rite of Passage, which I'd seen once before.
Sacrificed Sons, which I'd seen once before.
Dance of Eternity, which London also got.
One Last Time, which I'm not hugely bothered about.
Spirit Carries On, which I'd seen once before.
In The Name Of God, which was on my wishlist (although I'd seen the midsection in Shmedley, but still!)

Whereas London got growls on ANTR, The Mirror/Lie which has been on my wishlist for YEARS, Prophets of War which I really wanted to see, Take The Time which I really wanted to see, and Percussive Nation which sounds pretty neat.

So while Manchester is GRAND on paper and was really fun to watch, it's a bit gutting to log on the next day and see that all the songs I really wanted to see this leg (bar ITNOG) were played a day later, compared to a lot of repeats. But still, Manchester was a brilliant gig and I'm glad I went, PLUS if I went to London I would have missed Bristol Tree, so I'm not too bothered! I'll catch the others in future I'm sure.

Yeah, that's the thing - the grass is always greener. I LOVED Wembley, then I logged on Monday morning and saw what they played at Manchester and Glasgow and it kind of took the shine off. Serves me right, I suppose - that's what you get with bands with rotating setlists. I should be concentrating on what they played, not what they didn't.

Still, roll on the 2010 dates...
