What kind of recording quality do you get with that?

I'm pretty excited about seeing what different songs there will be for this leg. Fingers crossed for 6:00.

The first gig is tonight? Damn, I'm going to have to stop visiting this thread!

I dont know really since it becomes the first time I bootleg a show but it will probably be a lot of noise and so, but I got my fingers crossed and hopes for the best.

Me too, It would be really cool to see ANTR, followed by either AROP or Wither and the 6:00, man, that would be epic and the crowd would go nuts. I really look forward to see the BC&SL songs too, I think ANTR will be a really good opener and then I cant even imagine how epic TCOT will be.

Yeah, I think I posted it before, but I'm hoping for something like this:

1. A Nightmare To Remember
2. 6:00
3. Prophets of War
4. Sacrificed Sons
5. Wither
6. The Dance of Eternity
7. One Last Time
8. Take The Time (abridged)
9. The Count of Tuscany
-----------------------
10. Trial of Tears

perfey

Wow...Yeah, that would make an epic set list, its very realistic too according to the earlier sets they've played this tour and the earlier sets they've played in Stockholm. POW will be fun to finally see too, and The Dance of Eternity/Last time combo sounds awesomely good.

The Helsinki show just finished and it was awesome :metal
If I remember correctly then the setlist was as follows:
A Nightmare to Remember
A Rite of Passage
Hollow Years
Jordan Rudess's keyboard solo
Erotomania
Voices (abridged)
Forsaken
The Spirit Carries On
As I Am
Encore: The Count of Tuscany

Good setlist, but I expect it to change for countries where they played in the summer.

Yup, they didn't come to Finland at summer and it was still radically different from the 2007 Helsinki show. I liked all the songs although I would have liked to see an I&W song as well. But I saw Erotomania/Voices instead  I'm actually hoping that Learning to Live would be the "I&W song" this tour even though I wouldn't be able to see it.

ResultsMayVary

The setlists will change once they start hitting cities where they have played in 2008 and this past June.

Jamariquay

What was Opeth's setlist? The usual "Heir Apparent-Ghost Of Perdition-Godhead's Lament-etc" one that they've been playing lately (which I greatly enjoy, but have seen quite a bit of...)

Wolfheart

Opeth was something like:

Windowpane
Harlequin Forest
Deliverance
White Cluster
Hex Omega

There was maybe one track more somewhere in the middle and I'm not 100% about the song order...

They opened with Windowpane? Really?

Harlequin Forest though.... Nice. Haven't they never played that live too?

And zomg White Cluster.

Mladen

I expected some surprises for the Helsinki show, but oh well...

So did I, I hope they're gonna change things up for the German shows. I don't need the "Hollow Years/Erotomania/Voices"-Tripple again...

I dont think you need to worry. MP is probably already aware of that. You'll probably get TDOE/OLT.

Great show last night! The only minor thing was the power outtages during The Dance Of Eternity. But MP kept it going with drum solos :)

One Last Time
Forsaken
In The Name Of God

3 new songs :omg: :metal :hefdaddy!!! How did they play The Mirror/Lie. Did they lead The Mirror directly into Lie and was the Mirror reprise in the Mirror or in Lie?

Zydar

Yeah, they linked Lie directly from The Mirror, and then reprised it at the end of Lie.

My personal highlights was Sacrified Sons and In The Name Of God - I did NOT expect to see those two :metal

Yeah, the show last night was really really awesome, I thoughtfully enjoyed it. The only minor thing that could have ended the DT:s set was the TDOE-trainwreck like Zydar said. I missed Unexcept but watched rest of the show. It was really cool to have been the first audience to see Wither, it was a majestic song and very heartfelt, I assure you. Expect a review coming up soon (when I get home to Karlstad) with audio recordings from Bigelfs, Opeth and fucking Dream Theater! :metal.

I was standing on John Myungs side and had a complete view of the scene, I am really happy that I went to the show, even if I didn't get any friends with me, because if I hadnt went, it would be the biggest regret this year.

Zydar

Some pics I took last night:

A Nightmare To Remember

The Mirror / Lie

Wither

Thanks, that's some really nice photos. You seemed to have a great view from there, I was really surprised (& thought it was really cool) when they began to play The Mirror right after ANTR, + Lie. I thought James was spot on the whole night and he looked cool in his black coat. IT is really a big difference to see him live, then hear and see him on a crappy YT-clip or recording of some sort.

cyberdrummer

I'd really like that setlist in London, but they played The Mirror, Lie and ITNOG in 2005, so I'm not sure we'll get them.

Zydar

Thanks! Yeah we had a great view from our seating. The sound was great as well, and so was the lighting - it really created a wonderful atmosphere. Cool animations on the screen too.
