Here's the video of Vai, Petrucci, Dweezil and Jordan rocking out!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U3D-V7LoaQ

Must have been really awesome to have witnessed live!, very cool jam. I like how the three guitarists are tapping it out when suddenly a keyboardist comes and rocks their socks off I was like: Where is Jordan? and then he comes out after Vai's first solo, its great haha.

It feels strange somehow that the tour is over, but soon they come over to us!, its gonna be great. I look forward to what songs they're going to play too, hopefully some old songs they never played in a while ; ).

Great footage!

I only hope that they come to MN and I am not on a school band trip elsewhere in the states.

The next part in the US should begin around February or so.

I think they'll fit in many dates elsewhere until March/April for the U.S. so that it was be decent weather outside when they play outdoor venues.

Very true, then I'd imagine that they would go until June/July then recording studio again in the fall 2010... maybe

I mean, if past tours are any indication they'll probably hit America around March/April, then take the summer off, and then go into the studio around September of next year.

Like I said MN early March end of April anywhere during those dates, I will be happy.

Now they just have to announce them

They won't take the summer off.  That will be time for PN 2010.

I've been really curious as to what the consistency of PN will be. I would love to see one every year, so far so good.
Although I hope the not amazing ticket sales in MN this year don't give a bad impression to promoters.

PN only lasts a month, so if they took a month off from the World Tour, they would do PN in June, and still be able to write/record starting September. However, if they continue to do a PN in Europe, that probably won't happen, unless they can write/record in a matter of weeks

It simply worked out that 2008 and 2009 could get Progressive Nation tours, I would put money on 2010 not having one.

Seemed full. From what I saw. I was in the 3rd row of the balcony. In the front row of the balcony there was one seat available. One couple left once DT came on

I don't know about PN 2010 because MP said in a recent interview that he wasn't planning on doing it annually. I think it's the audio interview from Philadelphia, but if it isn't that one then it was one released around the same time.

I think it should be annual.  I thought that was kind of the point about these touring festivals - they come around every year.

I wouldn't mind if it was annual but i think going PN2010 won't be in N.A. next year because they are going to come back in March/April for the headline tour.

I couldn't see the balcony, but there was a big block of seats in the back of the main floor that were empty.  I was a bit worried when I saw them as well.  Hopefully, it won't sway decisions for the Spring '10 tour.

I don't think they'd abandon Minnesota, they have been here many times, one concert that wasn't completely sold out won't sway them. Plus, this was Progressive Nation. Not everyone cares about it because its DT for 90 minutes

I'm not very certain Progressive Nation is becoming a staple in normal DT tours. It's not like every single DT tour is going to get its Progressive Nation leg. It's a cool idea granted, but I would find it really weird if it became a staple in normal DT world tours.

i could see it being a tourly "staple" but just contain it to like once a tour. thus making it not a yearly thing.
