That's pretty awesome. First time they play it live. He must feel special.

antigoon

Yeah, totally. I am super jealous although I think I'm one of the only people on this board who likes the song :lol

I enjoy it quite a lot to be honest. But it's cool for him to have the feeling he is part of the first audience who ears it live.

This is shaping up to be a pretty interesting set!
DAMN ! Now Misunderstood. This is awesome

KevShmev

Last night's set list was pretty rad...the three new songs (which were fairly predictable) and then nothing but stuff from the 90s, three of which I would put in my personal DT top 6.  Very nice.

Tonight...pretty meh so far, although "Misunderstood" being fourth is pretty awesome.

Oh, and NB4 the "ZOMG, Prophets of War was so awesome live, I underestimated it..it is now one of my favorite DT songs" posts.  :lol :lol

PROPHETS OF WARS?!?!?!??!?!! WOOOOOOOW!!!

Someone with a new iPhone must have filmed this and upload it to YouTube immediately!!!!!!

Ultimetalhead

I'm really interested in where this setlist is going. Maybe they'll play You Not Me too. :neverusethis:

But seriously, this is an extreme variation.

Nick

I am SO happy they are playing Prophets of War finally. YES!

skydivingninja

Oh God, I will pray forever that they don't play PoW when I see them...I'm cool with Sacrificed Sons and Misunderstood, but please no PoW.

Nick

Jesus they're really pulling them from all over tonight!

This setlist just decided to start owning.

I still can't help but question the legitimacy...Prophets of War, Sacrificed Sons, and Overture?

Nic35

I think it wouldn't be surprising now if they played Through My Words

antigoon

skydivingninja

This is a really fucking weird setlist.  I'd be perfectly happy to see Overture!

Jamariquay

I'm calling bullshit, until I see this set posted elsewhere.

antigoon

I'm getting text messages from jamesman, who's at the show! Unless he's pulling my leg it's real!

I wonder if the encore will be Tuscany or something else..

I'd say there's a reasonable chance that he's pulling your leg.

skydivingninja

Overture going into Take the Time?  I'm not sure if James is being completely honest here...

Nic35

I'm very glad the PN tour setlists won't be like the past European shows, because their setlists weren't varied at all.

antigoon

Oh come on. It's not out of the realm of possibility by any means that they'd play a set like this. Sure it's weird, but this is Dream Theater.
