Round 3 Results!!:Ultimetalhead - Floater - "Luddite" -
7 points- First Listen: What a killer groove! It's going to be stuck in my head all day now. I really enjoyed the direction that the chorus took and the song in general. Looking forward to more listens!
- Subsequent Listens: It's still as good as the first time I listened. I've been finding myself singing the chorus over and over the past day or so. Everything blends together well, the song has a really gritty feel to it that I really like.
Xanthul - The Whitest Boy Alive - "Fireworks" -
7 points- First Listen: Good song very catchy. I actually prefer this song over most of Kings Of Convenience material.
- Subsequent Listens: Solid tune. Fits in perfectly with the theme of the round.
Sigz - Hella - "Biblical Violence" -
6 points- First Listen - One way I can describe this and it's like an unpolished version of From Monuments To Masses. This is going to take a few listens to really get everything which is saying a lot coming form a two man band. The drummer and the guitar player are pretty nuts, I was throughly impressed with how well they can play.
- Subsequent Listens: Still a lot to take with every listen but I'm getting more and more familar with the song. While it's not bad I don't see myself going out of my way to put this on.
Zantera - The Black Keys - "Lonely Boy" -
7 points- First Listen: Love the gritty guitar tone and overall sound of the song.
- Subsequent Listens: Enjoy this song a lot especially the chorus. Good choice, you read my music tastes right
Nekov - Paco De Luciz, John McLaughlin & Al Di Meola - "Midsummer Night" -
8 points- First Listen: Before even starting the track I was excited to hear it as I've been slowly chekcing out more and more of Al di Meloa's work, I'm a big fan of his acoustic stuff. The song is good, better than "The Rite Of Strings" trio he was in IMO. The playing was on point and this song would be in heavy rotation in my acoustic playlist.
- Subsequent Listens: I gotta listen to more of this trio. I'm such a sucker for 2 or 3 piece guitar players and goddamn can these guys play.
Ravenheart -Faith And The Muse - "Patience Worth (Piano Version)" -
7 points- First Listen: Wasn't expecting to hear vocals but they were nice. I guess usually when listening to piano pieces that I have they are all instrumental. They were a nice accompaniment.
- Subsequent Listens: I love the piano melody, paints a gloomy picture and the vocals are a perfect accompianment to the piano.
Elite - Duncan Browne- "Streets Of Fire" -
6 points- First Listen: Nice little tune but nothing really grabs me at first listen.
- Subsequent Listens: Didn't know why I didn't really get anything from the first listen but this song did grow on me a bit with following listens.
Scorpion - Brand New - "Me Vs. Maradona Vs. Elvis" -
8 points- First Listen: The first thing I thought when I heard this song was "Man I hope a band doesn't kick in", it did at the end but it didn't kill the mood of the song. I've heard a lot about Brand New on the forum but never had the chance to check them out but now I'll make time. I'm not a big fan of the vocals but they aren't terrible
- Subsequent Listens: After first hearing this song I thought I had ranked it too high but after more listens it deservers the 8, great song!
Kari - Neutral Milk Hotel - "Holland, 1945" -
7 points- First Listen: I shouldn't of followed up Scorpions pick with this lol, the tempo got a lot quicker. Anyway, I like this song, something I could see myself dancing too, something I'd like to see in a live setting.
- Subsequent Listens: Fun song, I can't help but tap my feet to this song, really upbeat, short and the horns add a lot of character to the song.

Round 4 - Long & DrearyLong, dreary, bleak, dark song. Must be at least 6:30 in length, anything shorter and it's an automatic DQ. Looking forward to hearing what you guys got for me!
EDIT: I just wanted to add that everyone's submission fit the theme almost perfectly
