Anyone want to help me design an album cover?
« on: September 01, 2012, 10:05:01 AM »
Hey guys,

My apologies if this forum isn't an appropriate place to put this thread, but I haven't been on this forum in a while and I remember there being a forum in the past where people shared various art projects they were working on in addition to music. At that point, I had been working on an album that I wrote and recorded and someone was extremely generous in helping me to create an album cover. I was wondering if any DTF musicians/artists would be kind enough to help me again in this regard:

I am starting work on a second group of songs, and the theme is oscillations. These are basically wave forms that are found both in a sound frequency and in an electrical brain signal measured by an EEG. Here are some examples of what oscillations in the brain look like when analyzed using certain techniques:

My idea was to have some sort of cartoonish picture in which a guitar was playing notes, and the notes were visually symbolized by these types of plots, and also possibly somehow relating it to the same signals coming from the brain. If this project sounds at all interesting to anyone who would like to take a stab at this it would be extremely appreciated, as I have no skill whatsoever in visual arts. Obviously, you would be completely free to use your imagination. I am still in the writing/recording phase, but if anyone is interested I have a small song sample that I'm still in the process of recording that I could show you to give an idea of what my music sounds like.

Thanks a lot, and once again, I apologize if this thread is not the right place for this!
