Can you give us a little sneak peak with a general overview of what each song is about? :D

Yes, of course  :D Pics are coming as soon as my lazy ass friend uploads the pictures to facebook or any place online.

1) The Cycle of Madness. -
This is the song I uploaded for you guys earlier. It's a very straightforward metal song, with some Ayreon influence and some vivid keyboard and guitar action. The lyrics talk about a man whose life has become a cycle from which he can't escape. Recording vocals for this song was very fun, a couple of girls made some "aah's" in the chorus for a greater epic feel, and a friend and myself made some "rude" vocals to give the song the heavy edge it needed. As a reference, you can compare our singer with JLB, with the exception that making any kind of rough vocals seems IMPOSSIBLE for our singer, which is of course a bad thing, being them what this song needed.

2) Rushing Dreams. -
This song is our take at more old-school proginess. There are some sections that are very reminding of Rush's Tom Sawyer and DT's Beyond this Life. It's very melodic and straightforward at the beginning, but all of a sudden a very heavy riff takes over and the song goes into a heavier direction. Think Fatal Tragedy in terms of the vocals. The first half of the song has vocals on it, the second half doesn't. The lyrics talk about a girl who seems to live a perfect life, but someone's got to tell her that someday, when she grows up, life will not be that perfect anymore, and she will need to live new experiences and adventures in order to life live thoroughly. Some of the melodies are very catchy, and this song contains what I consider my best keyboard solo ever.

3) Never Ending Love. -
This is the obligatory "ballad", which I thought was the weakest track we were going to record, but I was pleasantly wrong. It's a very powerful song with some self-explainatory lyrics (love song). Acoustic guitar and piano are very abundant, and our singer harmonizing himself in most of the song. The second half contains a very powerful chorus, with a very cool choir sound (lol gothic domain) and some string arrangements. Very catchy, simple and powerful all the way through.

4) The Wings. -
Here it is, the biggest, greatest song of all the album in my opinion. This song is divded in 4 sections, and it talks about a man who has had wings all his life, and was afraid to use them because of the consequences it involves flying, but he finally decides to fly into the open skies. The song tells the whole story of how he decided to fly, his experience of being on the sky and his violent fall. Musically, this song's pretty tough. The chord progressions are very exotic, lots of modes put in here, and the different sections are very different musically. The first section is very acoustic guitar driven, with some soft string arrangements, piano and synth pads. The second sections sound like a pop song, with some extremely catchy passages, very melodic. The third section is the heaviest section in the whole album, featuring crazy time changes (think The Dance of Eternity), and the last part picks up where the first part left, reprising themes from the whole song in a very epic and glorious way.

5) A Passage Through my Past Life. -
This is the epic song in the album. It's not the longest, but it has this epic feel all the way throughout. The lyrics talk about a man who's about to die, and his mind makes him believe that he had a past life, which starts going through his eyes few seconds before he dies. There are big string arrangements, epic melodies, lots of harmonies, powerful guitars and soaring vocals. This song features a very cool guitar/keyboard unison, as well as a very David Gilmour-esque guitar solo at the end, which is my favorite part of the song. When you guys listen to it you'll all be all like "whoa, Floyd".

Well, that's it. I hope you guys are as pumped up as I am with this new DTF release.  :hat

As we speak, I'm uploading another sneak peek for you. It's still the instrumental raw versions, but if everything's going as planned, the album's being edited and mixed in this very moment.  :metal

Same! I wish I had a band :( I'm writing a song with my next door neighbor now, but it is very straightforward.

Can't wait to hear the second sneak peak... the song descriptions sound amazing!

Do we (DTforum  ) get some sort of special deal for the album or something? 'Cause this is something I would love to have in my cd collection!

Heh, not really  :-[. I´m all the way up here in Mexicali, Baja California.

BTW, you should come here to Baja Prog Fest :metal . It´s a progressive festival where all kinds of bands come. We have had Rudess Morgenstein Project, Marillion (acoustic version), Nektar, Tony Levin Band, and lots of great bands. The thing is, there are two venues by day, one in a garden outside of an hotel and another one in a theater, and in the hotel is where less-known bands play. I am not part of the organization, but I bet that if you send the CD to the festival organization, you might be considered  :metal .

¡Buena suerte en el concierto del 22! ;D

Sounds really proffesional! Good job on this! Great guitar sound, sounds quite a bit like JP's tone. What equipment did your guitar player use? How was it recorded?

Also, great song! I hope your band does well.  :metal

Rushing Dream was awesome!  :tup Even though I liked The Cycle of Madness a bit more.

Funny, I felt the exact opposite. They're both fantastic, though.

@Darklord, my band is heading into the studio next week. Perhaps (unless you cut a sweet deal for the forumers) we could just swap albums and call it even. Ours will be longer (70 mins), but yours will be better so it evens out. :lol
