The official Rage thread
« on: August 17, 2012, 05:02:44 PM »
Any fans of these guys?  I'm a pretty casual fan and not really familiar with their older stuff.  Only really got into them from Speak of the Dead, decent band.  I'm listening to their new cd 21 right now for the first time and it's quite excellent.

I've hardly heard anything from them (5 songs tops) but everything has been top notch. All I Want and Set This World on Fire are both mint.

Yeah, both of those are two of their more classic songs.

Great band. I have every CD of theirs since Unity and they're all pretty killer. Always thought they were pretty underrated myself. And yes, Set The World On Fire is a classic.  :metal

Yeah, I think they are pretty underrated, although I can see how people would think some of their stuff is hit and miss.  Victor is an absolutely incredible guitarist though.  I own from them;

Carved In Stone
Black In Mind
Speak of the Dead
Strings to A Web
21
Full Moon in St Petersburg (CD/DVD)
The Video Link (DVD)

All good stuff

I don't know why, it's a beautiful game and all, but it felt weird to play, and it was almost I don't know how to say...too smooth...
I'll check this band out when I wake up later.

I'm a recent convert. I love the orchestral albums, and 21 is good too.
